"Summers open the door right now!" His voice was loud and scary.

"You answer it, tell him you don't know who I am." I whispered, and pointed at the door. He shrugged his shoulders and stood up. He opened the door and stood there.

"Where is she?" He voice boomed from outside.

"Who? I have no idea what you're talking about. It's just me in my room, no one else." He said but you could tell he is lying.

"Move aside, boy!" He yelled and he pushed through the door. Blake stood there, anger rolling off of him.

"You think you can say that crap, and then when I help you run away from me?! You are my partner to the dance!" He yelled at me, I didn't hear anything after him accusing me.

"Didn't I tell you to back off? What you said to me was disgusting. You said it like I had a choice of my power. I'm the same as you, I didn't get to choose!" I yelled at him as I started to poke his chest. He grabbed my hand and stepped in close to me. So close that I could feel his breath on my face.

"What I said to you was a joke. I know how getting powers work, however, you have a choice to use them or live amongst the powerless." He said as if having powers was a choice. He irritates me on a new level. I know I could probably blend in with humans, but if I don't go to this school I wouldn't know how to control it.

"I know that's what you think but you're wrong. You have no idea what my life was like. So don't come in here saying I can blend with them. Thanks but no." I said and I pushed him out the door. I apologized to the boy.

"Are you gonna stop by? You're the only one I can touch, so please." He begged and it was the cutest thing. I nodded and hugged him. I pulled Blake away from him, not wanting my precious pumpkin to be ruined by the odds of this idiot.

"That boy is such a weirdo. Can't touch anyone that's crap." Blake said laughing, and I couldn't help but smack him on the chest.

"Shut up. That little boy can't touch anyone, he drains them of their powers. He takes away what makes you live. So in order to protect you and people like you, THAT BOY doesn't touch anyone." I said emphasizing that boy, to get my point across. Blake made a face that said 'oh, well now I feel bad.'

"So what did you say about me being your partner to the dance. Why would I be your partner?" I asked confused on why he would think I would want to go with an annoyingly rude jerk that happens to be well built powerful and smoking hot. I mean annoyingly rude jerk.

"Because I'm supposed to take my partner that we were assigned during the ceremony. You know, before you got us in trouble." He said and I shook my head, of course, he had to say it.

"It was your fault, but okay when are you getting me?" I asked assuming he would get his date from her dorm room.

"Uh, when you show up to the gala? What do you mean?" He asked and I shook my head, entering my dorm.

"I thought you would get me from my dorm, being the gentleman you are. However, forget it I'll meet you at the doors at 5, today right?" I asked confused, he nodded then I closed the door on him. What a pain in my behind.

"So you and Blake got paired up. Is he as dreamy as the girls say?" Indira asked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Dreamy, ha. He has good looks but that's about it. He is a pain in my butt." I said and I started raiding my clothes. I didn't really have anything really flashy for a dance. I was preparing to train and socialize and school.

"Need a dress?" Indira asked and I nodded. She pulled over her biggest suitcase. She opened it and out popped dresses after dresses. There must have been at least thirty dresses.

"Just pick anyone. I think you should go with the light blue, so you and Blake match. You must I can't let you go any other way." She said and pulled four light blue dresses. One was mostly jewels and poofed out a lot, I would look like a queen, yes, but that's a bit much for a little dance. I put that one up immediately, no way I want to stand out that much. The second dress was a plain light blue with a white belt that case around the waist, cute but if I ate anything and my rolls show, it might just break the belt. I put it to the side not entirely done with it making it still an option just less likely. The third one was light blue with a floral pattern on the torso, it was short in the front and long in the back. Showed skin, super sexy, and the material was so smooth. The final one was just a plain light blue dress that had a pocket on the right boob. I would've chosen it for the pocket but it wasn't big enough to hold my phone. After looking at all of them I chose the third one.

Indira squealed and told me to go try it on, and of course, I did. I went to the bathroom and tried it on. It fit very well considering Indira's chest is more on the fuller side if you know what I mean. I decided to curl my hair and thanks to Indira's powers of replicating herself we were able to be ready to go at 4:30.

"Thank you so much, Indira, for letting me borrow your dress and helping me get ready. I'm going to go check on a friend I'll be right back." I said and headed towards the little boy's room. I knocked on the door and waited.

"Coming!" I heard a voice say from inside. Awe, even his voice is adorable. As soon as he opened the door I hugged him. He was so small I couldn't help but love his adorableness.

"Hi pumpkin, I never got your name. I'm Rose by the way." I said stepping into his room and closing the door.

"Desmond, but you can call me Des since we are friends." He spoke as we walked in his room.

"You hugged him and you didn't even know his name. What a strange girl." Another boy's voice said from the corner of the room. He was a curly haired brunette with freckles, he had brown eyes and a big smile from what I could see, he was at least 6'2, and well built. He did wear glasses, that put him more on the nerdy side, but it made him look more like Clark Kent. He was really cute kind of looking like an ideal guy.

"Well, he is so adorable, fragile and cute I can't help it. I'm Rose by the way. I didn't mean to intrude, I just didn't know he had a roommate." I said turning and staring him as he fixed his tie in the mirror.

"I'm not his roommate, we are friends. I'm Warren, nice to meet you. You can touch Des? Fascinating, you are a strange girl after all." He said and I was a bit shocked not sure if I should take it as a compliment or not.

"Uh, thank you? So are you ready to go pumpkin?" I asked looking over to Des. He nodded his head and we started heading out, Warren following shortly behind us.

"You look beautiful by the way." Warren complimented me and I started to blush but said thank you. As soon as my blush started Des grabbed my hand and interlaced our fingers. He gripped my hand pretty tightly, but I can understand since I'm the only one he can touch. I smiled as we walked down the hall to the reception hall. We approached the doors and Blake was standing outside them on his phone. He looked really good, his hair was done nicely and he was wearing a black button-down with a light blue tie. He smiled down at his phone showing his pearly white teeth. His built body fit the button down so nicely. He wore black pants and black dress shoes, finishing it off with a watch on his left wrist.

"Ready?" I said letting go of Des's hand and stood in front of Blake.

"Save me a dance," Des said and I nodded at him smiling. Warren and Des headed into the room and it was only then I noticed Blake was staring at me.

"Do I look bad? Gosh, I knew I should've gone with a different hairstyle. Maybe the braids would've looked better." I spoke thinking of all the things that I could've done differently.

"You look acceptable actually. Probably the only time I will say you look nice. Any other time you look ratchet." He said and I couldn't help but slap him. He laughed it off, I had to look away from him because I was blushing. Why was I blushing you might ask. Well, it's because when he laughed he looked so beautiful. He may not know this but when he laughs he tilts his head back slightly. His eyes closed and he smiles like he is enjoying himself. He was so beautiful, like a god maybe, but I would never tell him that.

"If that's your way of saying I'm beautiful then thank you. You look nice as well." I spoke with a genuine smile as I interlocking our arms and pushed through the double doors.
