*~*~*~*~*~*~
Piper felt like all the courage that she had gained over the past few days blew away with the wind when she saw Jeremy. Cedar was up in a split second standing between her and Jeremy as Piper started to feel like she was hyperventilating. She tried to calm herself as she heard running feet inside and the front door slam open.
"You aren't allowed on our territory uninvited," Cedar growled his fists clenching at his side.
"See, if we cared about the treaty we wouldn't be here," Jeremy smirked. "But we don't."
"Get off my territory," Cedar growled his shoulders squaring off as his fists tightened even more.
"Give me back my girl and we'll leave you be," Jeremy laughed. Piper felt like no matter what she tried she couldn't get enough air into her lungs. Cedar had no reason to deny Jeremy what he was asking.
"I'm pretty sure she doesn't belong to you," Cedar snapped back at Jeremy. Piper slowly stood up moving so she could see Jeremy. Cedar wasn't going to let Jeremy take her, now was her time to stand up to him.
"Ah, there is my girl. You scared us disappearing like that," Jeremy smiled causing shivers to run down her back.
"I'm done being told what to do," Piper managed to push out. It came out more like a squeak than the bitter tone she had planned. A smirk crossed over his face and she swallowed hard wanting to sit back down in the rocking chair behind her.
"Doesn't matter, doll, you don't have a choice in all of this. It's your fate," Jeremy laughed with a shake of his head. "Now call off your little doggy friends here and we can be on our way."
"She isn't going anywhere she doesn't want to," Cedar growled. Piper glanced over at him part of her wanting to tell him he didn't speak for her, but the bigger side of her wanted to thank him a million ways to Sunday.
"You realize you are declaring war, right? She belongs to me!" Jeremy hissed glaring at Cedar.
"You are the one that declared war by moving your clan close to my territory without getting it approved and then coming onto my territory without being invited!" Cedar snapped back. "Now get the hell off my territory and never come back."
"I'll be back for what is mine, mutt," Jeremy hissed as he jumped off the rail and got right in Cedar's face. At least he tried; seeing as he was shorter than Cedar was. "Make sure she is in the same...condition as when she got here."
Piper wasn't sure why Jeremy felt he had a say in anything, especially on the matter of her purity. Why anyone had a say in it. The one other time she had tried to rebel and went on a date with another guy, her father found out and the guy disappeared without a trace. They acted like they were back int he 1800's and she had no say in what she did with her own body.
"Go to hell," Cedar growled as Jeremy laughed.
"You first," Jeremy snapped back before he shifted back into the crow and flew off. Piper found it hard to breathe as she watched him fly away. They knew where she was and she was starting to think that this may be a safer place to be then taking off on her own again. She wasn't fond of the idea, but she had never seen anyone stand up to Jeremy as Cedar had.
