"Perfect at first, showed her flaws later"

Chapter 2

I looked up the ceiling and cringed in annoyance, back in my world, limit was non-existant ; which resulted in his ultimate power over the people. There was no sky, nothing to stop him and his people from anything, even if it may be for protection, it annoyed him to no end that the simple ceiling block whatever was up there, and let his curiousity get the best of him, It was really bothersome. I turned around and propped the soft object to a more favorable position on my head, making sure my new human ears, would get comfortable. I was that careful with my new body.

"I feel so weak in this realm"

"You're just tired."

I shot my head up the direction of the new voice, and saw her in the middle of the short staircase, with a glass of milk on her hand and held the ledge of the stairs with her other hand. Her once braided brown her cascaded below her chest and had a girlish curl at the end due to probably not combing it that night. She stepped down and sat on the small sofa chair next to mine.

"Either that or" Sitting up "I lost all my power as I crossed the glass"

She scoffed and rolled her eyes, then placed the warm glass of milk on the table. She crossed her legs and her arms across her chest.

"Sure, power, that definitely makes sense"

My eyes widened and I gripped my stomach upon impulse. That was unexpected, was that just Sarcasm or Distrust?

I shook my head and looked at the checkerboard floor tiles, giving notice to the extremely tiny cracks along each tile, I had to let my mind drift somewhere else.

"I want you out of here"

I stared at her once more as she placed a hand on her waist and leaned her petite form on the sofa. She frowned as she looked at me once again, then gritted her teeth in annoyance due to my mere presence.

"As soon as morning comes, I want you out of my house and go to some relative, if you don't have any you can rot in the streets for all I care."

I gave her a smirk and walked towards her, I know that I saw her as an innocent, pure human being, but her anger isn't that bad. I looked at her as she glared daggers as I went closer, placing my hands flat on the sofa chair and inched closer. Even with the uncomfortable distance, she still frowned and growled.

"Stay away from me, you weirdo."

I only continued my action and had her nose touch my own, her upper lip millimeters away from mine. She raised her arms in an attempt to push me, but using effortless strength, I pinned both arms on the wall with my other hand and used the other to caress her smooth face.

Her eyes were full of fear and I drank it all, I enjoyed her misery like I was supposed to, and her act of toughness was making it all better. My face inched closer hers and I closed the gap beetween us, her eyes widening much more upon contact. She squirmed under my touch and raised her knee to hit my-

"Ugh!"

I removed my hand from her face to try and subside the pain. Being a human is more painful than I thought it was, they were so fragile. I looked at her and growled, she only growled back and headbutted me. I released my entire grip and tried massaging the sore spot on my forehead, but only cringed upon the little touch of my fingers. She ran towards the kitchen and tripped halfway. I rolled my eyes and approached her fallen figure.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on me!!!"

She glared at me with teary eyes. I only sighed and slipped my hands on her back. I raised her up and carried her towards the kitchen, she tried kicking up and down to fall off, and try to runaway but stopped when she suddenly realized her current injury.

"You twisted your ankle, you are really fragile aren't you?"

This clumsy girl, she surprises me every single time.

I made her sit on the counter top and got some ice from the freezer. She narrowed her eyes and tried leaning away, attempting to raise her body away from me. How rude, am I that untrustworthy?

"Don't take advantage me, I don't trust you"

I ignored her statement  with a roll of my eyes and continued "Are you hurt?"

"Of course not! I feel perfectly fine!!!"

I placed my hand on her ankle and she yipped in pain. Yeah, perfectly fine.

I applied the ice on her ankle and in surprise, she raised her foot, making hard impact on my chin.

I fell back and tried holding my sore chin, damn, I think she broke it.

Giggle

I looked towards my attacker, she's giggling?! What was funny in my pain?

Letting out a full-hearted laugh, She clutched her stomach and let little tears slip from the corner in her eyes.

I rolled my eyes and stood up. This girl just won't stop would she? I shook away my thought, dusted myself off as I stood up and walked towards her, I slipped my hands around her waist and squeezed her tight. I drowned in the honey smell she harbored and smiled. I released my grip and chuckled at her surprised expression. Applying the ice on her ankle, she observed my actions quietly and let out a few sounds of pain, but other than that she seemed obedient.

I helped her get off the countertop and back on her feet, struggling a bit. She grabbed the ice pack that I placed on the counter top she was on earlier and applied it harshly to my sore chin and poked my forehead, intensifying the pain I already felt. I cried out in pain and stopped myself from pushing her away, she was injured enough for a fragile girl like her. Her eyes lowered and her lips formed a straight line.

While she healed my chin, I wrapped my arm around her neck and pulled her towards me, her hand still up on my chin, slightly bended as I hugged her. The position was awkward but I didn't care, she smelled too good, like honey and the smell of morning dew.

She pushed me away and only glared at me.

"If I weren't responsible, I'd sue you for rape."

"I love you too"

Her eyes widened and pulled away from me, dropping the ice pack  and delivered a panicked punch towards my cheek. How painful. Why is it that I'm being beaten up today?

"Stay away!!! I hate you, I don't like you. You're a nuisance!!!"

I frowned and nodded my head. "Don't worry, I'll be leaving anyway. I've been deceived."

She looked at me weirdly and questioned my statement.

"I don't have to explain myself. I'll be out of your hair" I looked towards a nearby window, and gazed at the night scene for a moment and continued "As soon as morning comes"

She looked away and led me back to the living room and went to her own, but not before she looked at me.

Hm...A brute, A liar, A being filled with hate and anger, I was deceived.

She wasn't the graceful, honest, full of love and patience kind of being I expected her to be, but she was human. Even I had my own share of flaws as a king, a supposed to be a model to my people.

I laid my head on the soft object again and wondered.

'If I hate her, or at least dislike with what I have seen her as, then why do I feel like I'm doing the wrong thing?...whatever it is, I'm leaving'

I turned away and pondered on my decision, my denial and want.

Maybe...

There was something more than that about her.
