I wake up to a soft song the birds were singing. The sun wasn't up yet and it seemed it would still be a while until it was. I turned to Zano, curled up in the tree. This is my chance. I quickly and quietly scurried down the tree, careful not to slip or make a sound. Once I touched the ground, I slowly tip-toed in the direction we we're heading.
He won't think I've gone this way. He'd probably think I would back track. Once I was a safe distance away, I started running as fast as I could, darting between the trees. I won't go back. I have to figure out a way back. I grimanced, knowing there might not be a way back. Well, it doesn't matter. I just need to escape first.
After a hour of running and walking, I slowed to a stop, panting. I looked around, taking in my surroundings. The trees were close together and covered with moss, white flowers seemed to shine like stars on it. The tree tops we're very low and looked like good cover. I started to head in when a few stones caught my attention. The were a grayish brown color and seemed like a pathway leading into the forest. My eyes widen, having a million ideas on where to go. There's got to be civilization beyond that! I walked towards it but abruptly stopped at the beginning of it. It was to open. Too easy to spot me in there.
I slipped into the thick bushes on the side of the trail, following beside it. Thorns scrape against my skin as I make my way down the trail, my mind focused on continuing.

After hours of picking my way through the brush, I emerge in a large clearing on a small hill. At the very top of the slope stood a town. People. I rushed up, occasionally tripping over my own feet. Soon I managed to reach the top alive and free. Free at last. I look around me, staring in wonder at everything. I quickly gather most of everyone's attention within a fifteen foot radius. I have to find somewhere out of sight.
Suddenly a hand grabs my arm. I whip around, my eyes wide with terror that it might be Zano. A kind smile greets me instead, a girl around my age giggling. "Hello stranger! Here, come with me. You look a bit uncomfortable." She laughed and started to pull me along. I begrudgingly let her, knowing that I'd have nowhere to go if it wasn't for her. But what if she plans on killing me? I felt my nerves twist and knot asshe lead me into a small house. It was bigger than I was used to, but still it was small. She sighed as she closed the door.
"Heh, would you like a fresh pair of clothes? Maybe a shower? Food?" She asked, moving to the small rectangular coffee table in the middle with a tea kettle and cups. She poured some tea and stood up, offering me a cup. I didn't move an inch.
"What do you want from me?" I growled, backing against the wall. She sighed and put the cup down. "Information. But you look clueless, so I'm guessing your not from this planet. Your clothes say that much." She commented, a bit less cheerful. I looked down at my clothes. They were my exercise clothes that were covered in dirt and holes. I sighed. "May I please have a shower and clothes? I'll tell you what I know after that." I muttered. She nodded eagerly. "Deal!" She grinned and waved for me to follow her.
She lead me up some narrows steps and down a hallway to a door. "Here's the bathroom. I'll get clothes for you while your in there." She concluded and turned to walk away. I caught her arm. "W-Wait! At least tell me your name." I mustered. She snorted. "I'll tell you when we start talking. What, did you need it to take a shower?" She giggled. I laughed nervously. "N-No, it just crossed my mind." I stuttered, letting go of her arm and looked down, rubbing to back of my neck. She hesitated before speaking up. "Pyra. My name is Pyra." She giggled before hurrying to one of the doors on the side of the hallway. I smiled before making my way back into the bathroom.
