Beverly is now 4 and has started nursery. Her dad is in an even worse state than before! Unfortunately, Beverly has not been able, so far, to have the childhood she deserves, what she would have had with the Johnsons or her mum. However, all was destroyed by her disorientated excuse of a dad. Consequently, Beverly does not know this yet but her dad, who she loves dearly, will not only be the one who brought her to life but the one who will end it... Who knows how long it will be before Max Thompson's addiction to alcohol and drugs will affect his bipolardisorder, to the point where he can not control his vicious, mutant, life threatening actions towards his inquisitive daughter. Imagine his sweet inocent little girl hugs her daddy and bang! The emotion switch inside Mr Thompson's brain flicks to angry mode and he loses control of his dangerous actions towards his daughter. What will happen to Beverly? Will it be to late?

Over the past few years Beverly has grown smarter and smarter by age. She had no choice, she is slowly beginning to learn more and more skills as to how to look after herself. This should not be happening to a 4 year old baby girl (or anyone). Conveniently, this knowledge may just be the key to saving her own life. As she searches for food in the kitchen drawers she comes across and letter, more like a bank statement, from Ms L Thompson, Beverly's mother. Even though they never were wed she took his last name, which helped Beverly find her, not dead, mum. Later on that day when Beverly arrived at nursery she handed the letter to her teacher and went to play. The Teacher (Miss K) investigated immediately. After 3 months the court have now officially declared Lisa Thompson guardian of Beverly Thompson. However she does not get full custody of Beverly until thel court is ensured Beverly is safe and comfortable around Lisa. So Beverly will soon be visiting her mum for the first time since she was born.
