It is said that every night rattling can be heard on the streets of Caravana. The rattling is loud and moves down the streets slowly. No one knows what causing the noise but everyone knows the legend.

Every night, a being from below the surface rises out of hell's hole. It walks from the empty plain into the city, it walks up and down each street dusk till dawn. Every person must lock their doors and close their blinds or they become prey. People claim to have seen the beast walking through the city, pulling children and adults alike from their beds and keeping them in a box. No one knows the true story. Any person who disappears in the middle of the night is assumed to have been taken and are not searched for. There are many stories of what the beast does with the people it takes. a favorite of the people is that the beast takes sinners from their beds and drags them to hell to meet their fate.

Although this story cannot be true. Even some of the most holy people have been taken in the night. If the people really went to hell, then many more people would have been taken. No, the true story is far different. No one believes it but it is true.

They call the beast, Erebus. Legend says he is larger than a skyscraper and has the figure of a human. He doesn't pull random people from their bed, he doesn't check if the doors are locked or if the curtains are shut. He doesn't pick the sinners or the holy rollers, no. He picks the dreamers, the artists, the musicians. He picks people who have dreams and ambitions. He doesn't kill them, or damn them for eternity. He gives them better lives.

He doesn't hurt people, he helps them. Inside the hell hole is a paradise, everyone is kind and generous, they all have dreams that they are achieving. He is a gentle giant that is only looking out for mankind because that is what god made him to do. When God created man he made the bones from clay. But for Erebus, he used the frame of man, but stone rather than clay. Erebus cannot be destroyed for this reason. He has but one purpose and will continue this purpose till the end of days. He was made to save those who need to be saved, and that is what he will do. So don't close your blinds in fear, he won't take you unless you need to be taken.
