After placing the bowl in front of the stranger, the mermaid wasted no time to dive in and start eating. Her hands grabbing fistfuls of pasta at a time and stuffing it in her mouth like it was her last meal, all while Dahyun watched amusingly. Finally caving in Dahyun slid over a napkin and a fork saying "you must've of been very hungry huh?".
There had been no response just as Dahyun expected but she hadn't expected the stranger to pick up the fork and look at it like it had been something out of ancient history that she had never seen or heard of before.
"She must really be crazy" Dahyun thought to herself as she watched the girl.
"It's a fork" Dahyun spoke casually getting tired of the other women's act of not knowing what it was, while grabbing her free hand proceeding to cleaning the pasta stained hands. The mermaid had seemed not to mind the physical contact with the human, because she stayed still and listened to her. " It's to help you eat, without getting stains all over your hands".
Then turning her attention back to the women's hand, almost finished ridding the girl of her saucy fingers, she noticed it. A ring, and old expensive ring at that. She carefully held the women's hand, already coming up with a plan to get it off of her.
Step 1- pretend there's sauce but the rings covering
Step 2- suggest she takes it off
Step 3- distract her
Step 4- take it
Dahyun shot the girl a charming smile, before taking her thumb and giving it a swipe across the corner of the stranger's sauce covered mouth before slowly bringing it to her own mouth and sucking it away gently, "Your so messy, you even got it inside your ring". The stranger who was heavily blushing because of the intimate touches of the human and because of the embarrassment of the human being right, because as she looked down she too saw the sauce stain on the ring.
"Your kind of cute though" the statement had come out so smoothly on Dahyun's end but the words had filled the mermaid's stomach with butterflies and more thoughts.
This human is nice and pretty. She feed me, cleaned me and complimented me, Wait until I tell Mina, she won't believe this".
Unconsciously a smile spread across Sana's face and Dahyun knew her plan was working, which caused a brighter smile to appear open her own lips. "Should I clean that for you too?".
Sana nodded her head eagerly taking off the ring and placing it into Dahyun's palm.
Then as Dahyun turned around, a loud knock was heard and a knowing smirk graced her lips. Dahyun knowing she only had to keep up the act only a tad longer and the ring was hers, she put on her best confused face which the mermaid seemed to buy, as she continued "oh, who could that be? I'll go check okay?".
Sana nodded and Dahyun smirk only grew larger as she walked away from the kitchen and to the front door of the home. She quickly recomposed herself so that the cops wouldn't get any funny ideas, and then she opened the door. As soon as she opens the door the cops were ready to speak but Dahyun put a finger over her puckered lips to indicate that the pigs should be quite. She silently shut the door confusing the cops further until she finally spoke in a hushed whisper.
"You'll have to be quiet she's in the kitchen" to which the officers nodded, about to walk in but Dahyun stopped them and continued "and you should be sure to be careful, she seems to be a bit..." Dahyun had purposely halted her words to create a greater emphasis before giving the police a comical face while pointing at her head with an extended finger and moving it in a circular motion a few times. "Crazy".
It was obvious that the pigs understood Dahyun's words and they quickly went inside. Dahyun decided to stay out and check the ring for a while, until a yawn escaped her lips, she silently placed the ring in her jean pockets and decided to call it a night. As she walked, she turned her head towards the kitchen and saw the officers all holding the other women down and she looked up. Their eyes connected for a brief second and for that second and that second only Dahyun felt a small sense of guilt splash over her as she stared at the women's eyes, those sad and confused eyes.
