Everybody, including me, was trying to figure out if what we heard was correct. "Your Greatness, there is no need to take in this deceiving wretch. She will taint your land of her evilness." My evilness? They haven't seen the worst of me. "Are you doubting my choice? King Astlin it seems you have foul my mood. We will be departing tomorrow. This air of the humans is suffocating me and my people," with that he left leaving the King Astlin fuming in anger.
The competition ended like that. Nothing happened and I was declared the winner after King Astlin stormed off to wherever. Currently, I was thinking about what I should do from now on. As you can guess I'm going to be heading to the Fae lands, where I could increase my abilities. Staying in this place was going to get me nowhere. But that meant I couldn't take on the General position. I was a bit disappointed because now I didn't have a army to control. I didn't even know what I was going to do in the Fae kingdom but I felt like if I didn't go I was going to regret it.
~Next Morning~
"Excuse us Lady Violet, we were sent by the Fae king to help pack your luggages," standing at the foot of my bed was four beautiful pointy eared female Faes. "You can do whatever just don't touch the sword," I said turning my head from the pillow. I was sleeping on my stomach sprawled out on the bed. I was about to go back to sleep but I opened my eyes to two of them standing beside me. "Pardon us my Lady but we have to get you ready for the trip. We will be heading out shortly," they said with patience unlike the maids that the dumb siblings kept sending over. "Its fine I can get ready on my own. Go sit and eat some snacks or something," it was too early to be dealing with this. I went to sleep late last night getting some last minute things sorted before leaving.
I didn't hear anymore chatter and opened one eye. They had an hesitant look and looked at the other two who were putting whatever into a huge trunk. I shut my eye and fell back to sleep but I didn't put my defenses down, since they were Faes who knows what they could do to me.
"After you Lady Violet," the female maids from before stood by the door of the carriage. "There's no need. I forgot to bring something. I'll be fast," ignoring their protests I made my way to the stables. "Has my boy been good?" I said to Sebastian, my Fae horse that I claimed as mine when King Astlin never took notice to it. Sebastian neighed at me but the look of the stable boy said something else. "You wanna come with me to your motherland?" He neighed again and I took that as a yes. I led him out of his stable. I don't know when but the stable boy who was right next to me was already far away. "Miss! Be careful!" He yelled but didn't move from his hiding spot. But when I got on Sebastian with ease his mouth was open like he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Just to tease him I turned Sebastian towards the boy and slowly made our way over. I increased the pace and he ran like his life depended on it. He didn't even notice that he was running towards the carriages. When he ran into a Fae guard he looked at the buff intimidating man and he looked back at Sebastian then he fainted. I almost fell off from laughing too hard.
"Miss-" the guard was about to say something but stopped when they saw the Fae king arriving. Everybody bowed while I pretended to only have my attention on Sebastian's hair. "I see he has taken a liking to you. I heard he had caused a lot of trouble," I looked at the Fae king. It must've looked rude that I was higher than him but that was solved with Sebastian throwing me off making me land on my butt. "Traitor," I muttered, he looked a bit apologetic but he knew who his original master was. I got up dusting the dirt off my butt and the Fae king was already entering the middle carriage which also looked the most expensive. "Miss, would you like me to take your horse?" The guard who the stable boy bumped into asked me. "No. I'll be riding him. I need to get some practice in," he looked like he wanted to say something but after a quick glance at something he didn't say anything and nodded.
For some reason the only spot left for me to ride was beside the Fae king's carriage. I mean I didn't mind but I was suspicious. Why would they make an inexperienced rider take the place next to the most important person. The only conclusion that I could think of was that they were testing me. On what? I had no clue, but I wasn't going to make a fool out of myself.
