Ch. 7 Not How I Planned(Yui'sPOV)

I don't know what made me not tell Ayato that I was pregnant  I was already almost three months along, I cant hide it forever. Maybe I just needed time to actually tell him, or maybe it was somewhat of my own subconcious way of punishing him. I don't know but I want to show him that hes going to be a father soon. But I belived that he wanted to change himself for the better.

I also wanted to try and make it so that I can live comfortably on my own. I started in the frand library and for some reason found a book titled Vampires, Their History and Physiology. It's odd that just some random book like this would be found in a human manor. I quickly pulled open the book and found that it was some sort of guide to vampires in general. And from the language written in the beginning and the fading of the pages, this book must have been down here for centuries. From the first few chapters, it mainly discussed the origin of vampires and their interactions with humans and early civilization, from what's written here it looks like vampires have been around since the beginningof time virtually and that vampires were some of the first beings ever created when the first humans came into earth. Then later on general physiology, how their lyst for blood comes around and.... here was a new chapter that I had never seen. It looked to be about vampiric reproduction.

"Should vampires have the urge to breed with a human, the result will be the offspring will grow at an accelerated rate in the womb and may cause internal stress for the mother. If the mother is in a weak or frail condition, then the host may die from complications of the pregnancy and if they should survive, may suffer damage from the labor or extreme shock."

This whole things shocked me immediately, I'd have to prep myself for the baby and I'd have to get myself to be stronger. For the sake of my child and Ayato, I will survive this.
