How Long Does High School Really Last

Chapter five

Its been about a week since the party and since Ethan found out. I told violet everything and Ethan offered to train her to and she took it.

Isaac and Jonothan haven't got me or violet since then because we've been dodging them so hard but it's tiring.

It's after school on Friday and I keep trying to convince violet Ethan and carter to go to a night club but they dont want to get caught because their scaredy cats.

Ethan and carter have to go after a while and we say bye to them. Violet kisses carter and I kiss Ethan on the cheek with a smile. I yell as their driving "ILL TEXT YOU THE TIME AND PLACE" I hear them both yell "NO" and I laugh

A few minutes later it's just me and violet in the parking lot talking.

"WE CAN MAKE FAKE ID'S DUMBASS. WE LOOK 21." I yell at violet.

"but what if th-"

"NO WE'LL BE FINE." I yell again "what are they gonna do kick us out? Call our parents? Pfft"

"I could be in deep shit with my parents okay?" She says.

I was about to tell her how anxious she is when someone behind us says
"Aww are you scared to get in trouble?" Jonothan asks.

"Oh fucking hell it took them long enough." "What do you want?" I ask them. Its only Jonothan and Isaac.

"Oh you think we're going to beat you up? Actually no." Isaac says.

My level of confusion reaches the top of the empire state building as I ask "umm, why? What do you want then?"

"That's for us to know and you to find out. But we are taking you two somewhere." Jonathan says. Violet rolls her eyes. "why the hell do you want to take us?" She asks Him"

"Because" He says.

"Are you taking us to our deaths?" I ask hoping he doesn't say yes.

"Of course not." He says and winks.

"Okay how are we getting there then?" I ask when he grabs my keys and gets in the driver seat of MY CAR while Isaac gets in the passenger side. "Umm, We didn't agree to going with you let alone YOU driving MY car."

Isaac looks at me out the window and says "you don't have a choice"

I stand my ground " I don't have to go anywhere" isaac gets out of the car and gets in my face "you don't want to relive that day at the party do you? Because I'm more than happy to do it again."

Jonathan says "come on get in the car now"

I see the anger on isaacs face and in his eyes as I look down in defeat and get in the back seat with violet.

About 30 minutes later it's quiet in the car and I decide to ask "why?"

I startle them and isaac looks at me for a second and says "what?"

"Why? Why do you beat us up all the time? What's the whole point of it? I didn't tell anybody what really happened" I say. Jonathan looks at me in the rear view mirror and asks "didn't tell anybody what?"

I see isaacs face in the corner of my eye and raise my head to see him glaring at me. I look at him with a face of confusion wondering why he didn't tell his best friend the truth about how he broke up with me. I finally answer Jonathan and say "nothing nevermind."

I see violet take my hand and she smiles simpathetically at me.

"Are we almost there?"

"About 5 minutes." He replies.
