You make your way through the undergrowth, your ears flattened against all the sounds of the night. You do not know where your mother is, or if she'll come back from her hunting trip. You have decided to venture out of the den and look for her. The problem, however, is that you've never been outside of the den, and you don't have a clue as to where you're going. You spot a shape slinking in the undergrowth, and you think it's another cat--maybe even your mother. But...it could also be a fox, or worse, a badger.
• You confront the other cat. (CHAPTER 8)
• You head back to the den. It's too dangerous out here. (CHAPTER 9)
