jennas pov
he felt limp in my arms and i wondered if he fell asleep. i pulled away and his eyes were closed, tears continuing to stream down his cheeks. i held his face in my hands and he opened his eyes. they were red and puffy and bags hung underneath them. another tear fell. i wiped it away with my thumb and then looking back into his eyes. despite them being red, his iris's were still the beautiful blue that i saw yesterday. i gave him a little smile before removing one of my hands to start playing with his hair.
as i looked at him, a huge urge to just kiss him was present. i wanted to just leap into his arms and break the distance between us, but i knew he didn't like me the same way, and doing that would ruin the friendship that we built in a span of less then 24 hours.
i looked down at my watch and realized it was 4:00 am and we had to be up in two hours. i looked back up at him and tilted my head. we were going to die if we tried to return back especially after yesterdays incident with evan. i didn't know if i could last in that class, everything was just so overwealming i felt like i could throw up in that class room. i sighed before pulling completely away from him and standing up.
juliens pov
she peeled away from me as i looked up at her as tears rimmed my eyes. she held a hand out and i realized what she was doing. she pulled me up with her and we walked back into her house. we were both very cold, the air was bitter outside despite us staying out there for so long. she closed the door behind her and locking it before she grabbed my hand and led me back up to her room. she closed the door and then got into her bed, moving the blanket over so we could both have some warmth.
as soon as i laid into the bed, i weirdly clung to jenna. i let her lay into the little crevice i made by lying on my side. she snuggled up to me and i held her close. i threw the blanket over us and in less than 30 seconds we were both fast asleep in each others arms
