Yes Yes Yes - Ryan Magee x reader

Chapter 11

Lunch time is here and I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.

As I walked outside I saw Ryan standing by his car one his phone. I slowly walk up to him, careful not to disturb his call. He saw me there and said goodbye as he hung up the call, putting his phone into his pocket.

"Ready to go?" He asks me with a wide smile.

"Yup. Where are we going?"

"Just a little taco truck down the road." He said with excitement.

I just laughed at that. He always was a weird and random one, but it makes me like him more. I really need to tell him today. Nothing is going to stop me.

After a quick 5 minute ride down the street, we get to the taco truck. As he parks we continue our conversation about what we would have on our ultimate taco.

"I'm just saying. The best would be spicy pork, caramelized onions, melted queso...." Ryan went on.

"No, you have to keep it chicken or beef. Pork is too weird!!" I say between laughs.

"Okay. Let's make a bet. I will get a pork taco from this truck and you will see that you like it."

"Okay. If I don't then you have to buy me lunch the rest of this week!"

"And when I win, you have to go on a date with me....." Ryan started.

"What?" I ask in a whisper, not really registering if this was real or not.

"Only if you want to! I don't want to force you to, but I do know you are going to love the taco." He said chuckling awkwardly at the end.

"Your on!" I smirk at him as we walk to order our food.

I can't believe this is happening. Does this mean he likes me?? I text both Haley and Suzy about the bet to get their opinion. They both said it means he likes me. That gave me a little confidence.

After we get our food we walk to the little table set up and sit down to eat.

We look at each other and evil smile as we both say 'let's do this!'.

He slide his taco across the table in front of me. I look at it hesitantly, back at him, and back at the taco. I slowly pick it up and bring it to my mouth. Before I can get it in, Ryan makes sure to say, "don't forget about the bet."

I just smile and nod as I take a bite. Not a huge bite that will stuff my face to the brim but also not one that is so little that I can't taste anything other than tortilla shell.

As I chew, Ryan looks at me with hopefully eyes. Just to bother him I chew extremely slow. After a little bit I can tell he is getting impatient so I swallow. 

As I look at him I slowly smile as his eyes grow wide. I just chuckle and look down as I slowly shake my head yes.

"You like it?" Ryan asks enthusiastically.

"Yes. Surprisingly it wasn't half bad."

"Wasn't half bad??? You didn't gag which means you liked it!"

"Okay. Fine. I liked it. But you know what that means?"

"It means you lost." He replies with a smirk. "Are you free Friday night?"

"Well I planned to sit at home and binge watch this one tv show but I guess I can reschedule it." I replied laughing.

"Friday it is then."

We finish up our food while having light conversation before we throw out garbage away, heading back to the car.

"So what are we doing friday?" You ask to break the silence, not that it was a bad silence, it was a happy, comfortable silence, but you wanted to talk.

"Well actually. There is this new movie coming out and I wanted to go see it, I was thinking we could go see it and maybe hang out afterwords."

"That sounds wonderful Ryan. I can't wait."

We both share a smile that stretches all the way up to our eyes. As we reach the office. We part ways and go back to our offices to continue our work.

Although it was hard for me to concentrate due to the fact Friday was soon, seeing as it was only Tuesday.

Quickly I pulled out my phone and texted the two people I needed to about the wonderful situation that will come in the near future.
