Chapter 5

I woke up the next morning at 8:00. I didn't want to get up, so I paid there for a while buy I couldn't fall back asleep.

Letting out a sigh of defeat, I look over at my clock and saw it was not 8:30. I threw off my covers and walked to the bathroom. I scared myself looking in the mirror seeing my awful bedhead.

I reached my hand in the shower and turned it on. As I wait for the water to warm up I use the restroom, undress and then hop in.

I feel myself really waking up when the warm water runs through my hair and down my body. It feels nice. I stand there for a moment before washing my hair and body. I turn off the water and dry myself off.

I decided that I was going to enjoy my morning and stay in my fuzzy robe for a while before I actually put clothes on. I walk back to my room and grab my phone before I go to the kitchen to make me some coffee. As I wait for it to brew I finally look at my phone.

I smile down at my phone and save his contact. My coffee is now ready so I put it in a cup adding creamer and a little sugar. I grab a bowl and spoon along with milk and the Lucky Charms box and sit down at the kitchen table.

Since I was thinking about it, I decided that as I eat I was going to check out Ryan's channel he was telling me about. I open my YouTube app and search the channel. I clicked on the video with the title of 'two grown ass men play club penguin'. There was a few times I almost spit my cereal all over the table, but I somehow kept it in. I watched a few more videos like a Spongebob game, some Cuphead, and even wii sports.

Once I saw I still had a few hours to kill, I went ahead and cleaned up a bit. I took out the trash, emptied the dishwasher and tidied up a few other things.

Finally the clock says 1:30 and my interview us at 3. I go to get dressed in a nice babypink shirt, black pants and a pair of flats. As for my hair I put it in an updo to keep it out of the way and I did my makeup pretty natural.

I was about to walk out the door when my phone buzzed. I looked down and saw I got a text.

New message from Ryan
○ Good luck today! Let me know how it goes!

Message to Ryan
¤ Thanks! I'm kinda nervous but I'll let you know.

New message from Ryan
○ Don't worry. You'll do great! I don't know why they wouldn't hire you!

As I reach my car I put my phone away and drove to Jersey Mike's.

I park, walk in and I'm greeted by a guy that seemed too happy to be working at a sub shop.

"Hi! You must be y/n? I'm Carl." He asks holding out his hand.

"Yeah. That's me." I say shaking his hand.

Carl asked me a few questions avout previous jobs and some personal stuff. Some stuff a little too personal. It gave me weird feelings I didn't enjoy. It just didn't feel right. Then the interview ended.

"Well y/n. You seem like a wonderful person and we would love to have you on our team! What do you think? Would you like to join?"

"umm... I don't know if it would be a good place for me. I'm sorry Carl."

He looked a little mad that I just wasted his time and sad that I didn't want to work there. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you have fun somewhere else." he said with a painfully obvious forced smile.

I just nodded, walked out and left to go to Haley's.

As I pull up and park I let out a sigh. After a minute of collecting myself I got out and headed upstairs.

I go up the elevator and walk to her door, letting myself in. I close her door a little too hard by accident and I plop on her couch face first into a pillow. Letting out a little scream.

"y/n? I am guessing it didn't go well. What happened?" Haley asks, rubbing my back.

"It wasn't that it was bad. I did great but the guy gave off a weird vibe and made me feel uncomfortable." as I stopped talking we heard a knock at the door.

"Oh hey Ryan. What's up?" Haley asked him.

"Well I heard a loud slam and a small scream, I just wanted to make sure no one was getting murdered or anything."

"Yeah. I think we're okay. I think y/n is a little upset tho." She said whispering the last part as her phone started ringing. "Hold on a moment." She said walking out to answer it.

"Hey y/n. How did the interview go?" He asks walking towards the couch.

Ryan's P.O.V.

Y/n sat up from laying on the couch and looked up at me. I sit down next to her.

"The interview actually went good and I got the job." She said in an upset voice.

"Well, what's a good thing right?"

"I didn't take the job." She said blankly. I looked at her surprised.

"Hey y/n, my boss just called me and they are short people right now so I need to go in. Will you be okay?" Haley asked rushing in in her work uniform.

"I'll be okay. I'll probably crash here tonight if that's okay?"

"Of course. You're always welcome. I won't have to be there too long, just until the rush is over and clean the dishes a bit." She said with a smile.

With that Haley left y/n and I alone in her couch.
