Being rich in the southside was an odd thing. The southside was classed as trash because they assumed everyone was poor. But, with your family being raised as serpents, you never turned your nose up at them because of money. You lived in a normal sized house, not wanting to rub peoples noses into the fact you and your family have money.
Your dad was best friend with FP Jones. You were close to his son, Jughead and his friends, Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea.
It was a late Friday night, you were watching a movie when you heard the doorbell ring. You opened the door and saw Sweet Pea and some other serpents.
"Hey guys, come in." You smile. Only Pea walks in and shuts the door. He sits down and sighs.
"Hey babe. I need a favour." He mutters. You sit next to him and smile.
"Of course. Anything for you, Pea." You smile and grab his hand.
"The manager of the trailer park where we live has kicked us all out. Some of us couldn't pay our rent and he kicked everyone out. Some of us have no where to go." He sighs and rubs a hand through his hair.
"Pea that's terrible! What can I do?" You ask, concerned.
"Could we borrow some money? We will pay you back asap. These people need someone to live and right now, they haven't got that." He mumbles and looks at you.
"Of course Pea! Don't worry about paying me back, let's go get your homes back." You smile and grab his hand, pulling him up.
"What did I do to deserve you?" He mutters.
You walk outside and smile at the waiting serpents. "Let's go get your homes back!" You yell and everyone cheers. You jump on the back of Pea's bike and head forwards the trailer park, to the managers office.
You walk in and smile. "I'd like to pay rent for the people living here. All of them." You smile.
"And how is a little girl like you going to pay for that?" He laughs. Pea steps forward, clenching his fists.
"With this." You smirk and pull out a thick stack of money. "My daddy won't appreciate you talking to me like that. One phone call and I'll have you fired." You smile.
"That will be $1,200. That's for them all for the month." He stutters, moving some paperwork.
"I'd like to pay their rent for the next 12 months please." You smile.
"That will be $14,400. Are you sure?" The man asks, shocked.
"Yup." You smile and hand him the cash. "Next time someone misses rent, you come to me. You never, ever kick families out onto the street." You spit at the man and sign the paperwork. "Goodnight." You smile and walk out, holding Pea's hand.
You approach the waiting serpents and smile. "All done. None of you have to worry about rent for the next 12 months." You smile.
All the serpents come and hug you, thanking you for your kind gesture.
"You didn't have to do that." Pea mutters when the serpents finally go back to their homes.
"I wanted to. Can't have my favourite serpent go homeless." You smile and move his hair out of his face.
He laughs. "You do make me smile, baby."
