A couple of weeks went by but Strange hadn't given up hope that Tony would finally come to him again. The reason didn't matter, all he knew was there was something about Stark that was magnetic. Strange couldn't stop thinking about what made him want to see Tony so badly. His likeness? His passion? Strange always tried to fix things and maybe deep down he knew Tony was broken, there was always a piece of Tony missing. He shrugged off the heavy thoughts to hear a voice ringing out in the background "Hulka Burning Fudge!" Wong yelled at him multiple times now. "Fine! I'm going!" Strange answered. He promised Wong Ben & Jerry's. Dressed not in his cloak but more casual wear he went for groceries and few other errands. Upon return Wong dug through the bags looking for his favorite ice cream, but he also pulled out another flavor "Stark Raving Hazelnuts?! What's wrong with you?!" Strange simply replied "I believe I was wrong about that flavor. I want to taste it again."

That same night Tony was staring at his computer screens. Friday had been running different algorithms on everything she could find involving the mutants shield had been recruiting. Easier said then done. Tony had designed shields protection and software but that wasn't the problem. These mutants of all ages that were recruited had been brought into shield mostly from off the grid. Tony was frustrated and tired of waiting. He had a small thought of bringing Strange in on it but quickly wiped the thought away. "How could he help? Why would I ask?" Tony thought. But the thought wouldn't leave. He searched Strange online and quickly ran a cross a picture of him in his cloak on the streets of New York that went viral. He had scratches on his face, sweat and pain read through out his body. But the look of determination in his eyes, Tony couldn't look away. "Like looking at yourself?" Pepper had walked into the room. Tony freaked out and stuttered while quickly putting the monitor on sleep mode. "I was just uh doing research on a shield thing, cuz I uh well it's classified."
"And it involves this Dr Strange?" She smiled sarcastically at him knowing his ego, with one click of the keyboard turning the screen back on. "Why don't you ask for his help? You've never had to run search programs this long before, you obviously need a different approach." He bit his lip in thought and hesitated before finally agreeing. "Your right, don't wait up for me honey." Tony kissed her on the forehead on the way out. Pepper knew she never had all of Tony's heart even if they really did love each other to a great degree. Something she had learned to accept.

Tony didn't phone Strange, didn't let him know he was coming. Tony wasn't sure Strange was even there? He didn't take a vehicle to the Sanctorum. He walked, and thought about how he would approach him. He couldn't think clearly while clouded with emotion he didn't understand. His heart jumped as he pictured Strange opening the door. Tony was wearing a black zipped up, partly leather and hooded jacket, dark glasses so no one would recognize him. Surprisingly it worked and he walked to the Sanctorum without interruption. Arriving at the front door Tony went to nock but for some reason he couldn't. Not knowing whether it was due to admitting he failed at something or for some reason he was hesitant to experience another encounter with Strange. He went to sit down on the steps out front and just as he turned his back to the front door it opened. "Stark?" A deep clear tone rang out. Tony froze and replayed Strange's voice in his head again. Crisp, strong and pleasurable. Tony turned around marched up the stairs, pulled down his hood then standing now inches away from each other. Tony removed his glasses and admitted in obvious pain "I need your help."

Strange had to keep his emotions subdued. "Come in." He told Tony stepping aside. "And I'm sorry but what was that again?" Strange sarcastically asked with a small grin. Tony looked up from the floor. "You know what I said Doc. I've got a problem in shield that may require your expertise." Tony bit back.
"How would I be of any help, you know I don't do this type of work Stark." Despite how strange felt he was going to continue as normal and be stubborn on using his abilities for anything beneath him. Tony walked up to Strange, "someone has infiltrated shields mutant initiation." Strange looked up at Tony and saw his serious expression. "You believe it's one of the mutants. And you don't know who and therefor how dangerous they are." Tony looked at him and Strange knew that meant he was right. "I'll help you...." strange sighed and continued a moment later. "I know a mutant of my own."
