My name's Amy. I'm half human, half cat. I'm 17 years old. But in my city, I can only go outside at night, when the sun is down. This is my story.

"Mom! I'm 17! you don't have to worry about me!" I complained to my mother. "The sun is almost down. I can go out now!"

"Now Amy, you haven't eaten yet. It's your favorite." My mom replied. My face lit up. She turned around with a plate with a roll of sushi on it. She placed it in front of me. I scarfed it down in less then 5 minuets.

"The sun has gone down mom! Can I leave now?" I begged. She sighed then nodded. I jumped up and grabbed my coat. My shoes were already on. I opened the door and ran all the way to my favorite place in the city. The large park! I ran to the tree I would sit in. The bush that circled the tree rustled. I looked down at the bush and suddenly, "A person!" I yell and jump back. I throw my hood on my head.

The person popped up. They had a hood on as well. "Sorry for scaring you like that. . ." The person said, rubbing the back of his neck. He hopped out of the bush. His hood got hooked by a sharp branch. It pulled it off his head and two wolf ears appeared.

"Y-your a wolf. . ." I say and faint on the ground. My hood came off when I fell to the ground.

"Shit!" The man cursed as he felt his head. He saw me fainted on the ground. He walked up to me, and saw my ears. Before I completely passed out, I remember being picked up and taken somewhere else.

Black. That's all I saw. Suddenly, the bush. And my tree! I saw the guy pop out of the bush and reveal his wolf ears. I fainted.

I woke up in a place unfamiliar to me. It was warm and soft, but too dark to see anything. I felt my head. My ears were out! "Shit. . ." I say.

"Oh! Your awake!" A light flicked on and I saw the wolf guy.

"W-where am I?" A sharp pain shot through my body. I looked down at my leg which is where the pain was being generated.

"You got badly cut when you passed out. You landed on a sharp stick." The man said. "I'm Max. You are?"

"I-I only t-tell my name to people I trust." I replied. "And I s-sure as hell d-don't t-trust you. . ."

"You'll trust me eventually." Max said, shrugging. "You should get some rest. You need to recover."

"I n-need to go home. . ." I said, starting to cry. "How l-long have I been here?" I asked, shaking.

"About two days. You lost a lot of blood and you hit the ground pretty hard." Max replied. I began to bawl.

"My m-mom is going to b-be so w-worried about me. . ." I said. Max tensed up.

"Y-your mom?" He asked. "Wait, you don't know what happened in the last two days. . ."

"What h-happened?!?" I said, scared that something happened to my mom.

"The apocalypse." Max said, staring off into the distance.

"W-what?!?" I said, horrified.

"It has been going on for a very long time, actually. . . They never told anybody until it was too late." Max said. I started to cry heavily.

"My family. . . My sisters. . . My brothers. . . My mom and dad. . ." Hot tears rolled down my face. My ears drooped.

"You're half cat, I see." Max commented.
