There's this girl I always see
And she's always smiling
She's always happy
Like nothing could go wrong
And nothing ever has
And I want to walk up to her, and say,
"What world do you live in where you don't feel alone?
What world do you live in where love at first sight happens every day,
And a smile doesn't mean covering up the pain, it means joy
What world do you live in, child, where happiness is tangible,
Because I want to go there
If you live in a dream don't you ever wake up
And let me fall asleep beside you
Child, you are free,
And I admire that
But use your freedom wisely
Don't run away and leave us locked in cages
Help the rest of us join you
Use your freedom selflessly
And set the others free as well
Child, I admire your joy,
But I wish to join you
Do not leave us all to perish
Simply because you were smart enough to escape."
