Her Thorns

Stars twinkling and the moon
shining that grace the night sky
tranquilize his mind the longer
he gazes them above while idling
in a soothing and secluded spot.
But, he did not like black and darkness;
he thought they could be terrifying.
However they continuously
come due to earth's rotation,
and the celestial objects he
waits would appear invisible
without the black sky
that holds them together.
So along with the jewels above
adorning lifeless nights,
he began to adore the
shade of black that makes
their gleam be seen.

Addicting scent the flawless sheets
of a newly bought journal emit
milder than when he whiffs
open books melts his heart.
'Tis like restraining him to bruise
each page in letter form.
He did not like his chaotic pencraft;
he thought it could ruin a perfect thing.
However they are made to become
permanent homes of writings,
and it is of no value even endowed
with lovely fragrance if one refuses
to stain its leaves with beautiful
and diverse colored fluids
that form meaningful stories.
So when he felt fulfillment after
writing his first item of the day,
he began to adore more every journal
that filled with compositions.

Out of the ordinary rose sparked
his attention when he once caught
a glimpse of a rosarium.
His eyes sparkled whilst lips
and spirit all at once smiled.
Of all the roses so sublime dancing
finely to the rhythm of the breeze,
became his favorite was the
simplest and distinct one;
he got allured by her, a wild rose.
But, he did not like roses' thorns;
he thought he could get infected
through a simple prick.
However the thorns make her who she is,
prickles― some of her fragments.
Even so, she is fine and extraordinary
he heartily wanted to pick her only.
But a worthy flower he can not have
without dealing with some
thorns along the way.
So he settled on a new beginning.
Her thorns he did not get rid,
all of her he welcomed with open arms
to love her wholly― without fear.
