When You Open a Book.

You write your stories and spread your wings
You sit on your handmade throne like kings
And although you think you've done your best
There is still one more quest.

A quest that makes weaker men shake
And is craftier than a snake
You may be confident now
But you may be the one to bow.

Don't raise your fists in spite
Instead, make it right
Don't waste your breath
Or it may end in death.

I told you that this wouldn't be in easy fight
Don't let your heart be black as night!
Take a deep breath and say
"I will not delay."

Your quest is almost finished
Don't let your hope diminish
Just a few more words
A fight that may involve swords

Ah, your finished my dear friend
Your will did transcend
Now close the book and close your eyes
As a little part of you dies
