Axel and Sofia saw his younger brother, Hugo, by the tent for the Corinthian Sports School. He was sitting on a bench, writing his choice of school on his tablet—or so it seemed—and he seemed really frustrated.

"Hi, Hugo," Sofia waved.

"Hey, Sofia, Big Bro," Hugo smiled.

"What's wrong, baby bro?" Axel asked.

"Oh, this pen just won't cooperate with me," Hugo groaned.

"Here, let me see," Axel offered.

Hugo handed Axel his pen, but Axel just playfully stroked his little brother's chin with it.

"Hey, that tickles," giggled Hugo.

"Well, it seems to be working just fine," Axel chuckled.

"No, silly, I mean I can't get it to write," chortled Hugo.

"Let's see," Axel said. He carefully wrote on Hugo's tablet, and the pen was working. "There you go." He handed Hugo the tablet back.

"Thanks," Hugo smiled, writing his choice of school on the tablet.

"You know, this was the school I really wanted to go to when I was graduating from RPA," Axel recalled.

"Really?" Sofia asked.

"I never knew that," Hugo said.

"It's true, but Dad said as heir to the throne, I had to go to Ever Realm Academy, so I can rule the kingdom properly," Axel declared. "He's got a point—what good is a king who hasn't had the proper training?"

Sofia and Hugo made sick faces, which answered Axel's question.

"Well, that answers my question," Axel chuckled.

"Have you picked out your school, Sofia?" Hugo asked.

"No, I haven't," Sofia declared. "Each one I've seen looks like it would be a blast."

Axel had an idea. "You know, Sofia, they say looking at the bright side is very helpful—but in this case, you could try looking at the dark side," he suggested.

"The dark side?" Sofia asked raising an eyebrow.

"In other words, you can think of all the negative things about going to each of these schools and if you want to go through them," Axel told her.

"I guess that can work," Hugo smiled.

"Amber said she wanted you as her royal advisor if you went to Ever Realm," Axel said.

"Well, being a ruler is hard work, and being an advisor would be, too," Sofia said.

"Yes, but you and Hugo are Protectors of the Ever Realm," Axel reminded her. "If you went to my school, you'd probably bite off more than you can chew."

"Especially since we're occupied with hunting down the Wicked Nine with Prisma on the loose," Hugo declared.

"Okay, Ever Realm is off my list," Sofia declared.

"How about Chivalry Hall?" Axel asked. "Do you think you want to wear a suit of armor?"

"No way—it must be really hot in the armor," Sofia shook her head.

"It can be," Hugo said. "I bet the School for Adventure is perfect for you."

"It would be awesome, but I've been on so many adventures—I already know what I do on them," Sofia declared. All this overthinking is really making her head hurt.
