i woke up at 6pm and there was severe pain in my right ear. i think i have an ear infection.
i touched my ear and winced, waking joey up.
"babe whats wrong?" he asked.
"my ear hurts so bad." i complained.
he squirmed around to look in my ear lobe, "liv its all swollen." he scrunched his face.
my eyes widened and i gasped.
one time i had an inner ear infection, outer ear infection, and swimmers ear all at the same time and when i went to the doctor they had to put an ear wick in and it hurt so bad. i never want that to happen again.
"im just kidding its fine" i said quickly.
"no come on liv, i have to take you to the doctor." joey insisted.
"joey no im not going to the doctor." i resisted.
"liv why not?"
"last time they put an ear wick in my ear and it was the most painful experience of my life. im not going."
"aww baby, ill be right there next to you and you can squeeze my hand, it will only be for a couple minutes, and what if your ear is fine and you dont need it? im just worried that if we dont go soon theyll have to cut you ear off and that will hurt worse, now come on, get up."
"joey." i huffed.
"ill carr-" a ringing sound appeared in my ear suddenly.
"oww!!" i yelled hanging onto my ear.
i felt arms carry me bridal style as i calmed down. i smushed my face into joeys chest.
"joey i dont wanna go."
"go where?" jen asked.
"liv has a bad ear ache im gonna take her too the doctor." joey answered.
"let me have a look." she said walking to the side of my head. "they might need an ear wick." she winced.
"mom!" joey yelled.
"joey im not going! im fine!" the ringing started again and i squirmed to get out of joeys arms.
"she hates ear wicks." i heard joey whisper.
"aw baby its okay, itll only hurt for a second and its over." jen said.
"fine ill go, but joey youre getting me ice cream after." i huffed.
"okay" he chuckled and carried me out to the car.
i started to cry as it hurt so bad.
"hi whats wrong?" the person at the counter asked.
"hello, my girlfriend has an extreme ear ache, can you squeeze us in?" joey said holding my hand.
"yes come in now." the doctor said from the back.
he took his flashlight thing and took a look in my ear.
"looks like a really bad ear infection, when did you start feeling pain?" he asked.
"well i took a nap and when i woke up 20 minutes ago it started to hurt." i answered.
"that quick?" he asked.
i nodded.
"have you two been engaged in sexual activity in this ear?" he asked.
what the fuck.
"no!" i blushed as joey held in his laughter.
"okay because that can cause a spontaneous ear ache." he finished. "were gonna need an ear wick." he added. "your ear is too swollen, when youll try to put antibiotics in it wont go down into your ear to make it better because your swelling is blocking it."
