Sophia's POV 2014-
I was awoken by the strenuous bright light seeping from my bedroom window; I slowly got up and stumbled into the kitchen only to be greeted by my elder flat mate Daisy. When you hear the name Daisy my mind wonders to The Great Gatsby how frail and broken Daisy really was, however my Daisy is the complete opposite, She'd be tearing books out of my hands dragging me out whenever she could I guess It was her form of escape.
The main reason we got on so well is because we're complete parallels of one another. She was truly stunning in her own way, she had long tinted brown her with wide eyes and pink cheeks anyway that's not what really matters I suppose it's the fact that she's absolutely bonkers, because of this wild trait in her personality that's what got her dragging me out the door on new year's eve. 1'st January 2014.
We were both currently sharing a flat in Highgate North London,It's a rather beautiful area of London, realtively close to Hampstead Heath which is known for being beautiful. not that that's important but I'm just laying the scene.
We were off to a Club in Mayfair, towards the centre of the city. that ironically I'd never heard of. We trudged in weaving through a crowd of people, then being lead through to a quieter section. Somehow Daisy knew or at least knew of many people and she managed to get into any VIP area apparently. We were seated into a large booth and the area was filled with many intoxicated teenagers in tiny outfits flaunting themselves. It's not that anyone looked bad because believe me I have no right to judge but everyone just seems to try so hard and care too much, but my eyes were drawn to one booth towards the exit. I was completely lured in.
The lighting in the room was dark, with large lit beams pointing downwards on each booth, providing just enough light to illuminate figures. There were these bright green eyes full of life dancing upon other faces within the booth. It was only seconds later that he caught me staring and his eyes pinpointed onto mine; however he continued to talk to his friends while his eyes were still on me.
'Soph' Daisy whispered nudging me with her elbow in attempt to stop be staring. For the next few minutes while we waited for our drinks his eyes were all I could think about, I couldn't begin to comprehend how someone's eyes could be so full of life.
Later on in the evening, too many drinks later we'd been dancing and Daisy had been introducing me to all these people whose names I cannot really remember. It baffled me that she knew many people even in the celebrity world, because I don't exactly know what she does for a living, but it must be something good. She then led us over to the booth which caught my eye earlier, along with the same group of people, including my green eyes guy. As we sat down all conversation went quiet and I felt more or less all eyes on me. They all continued to talk, as I sat there quite nervously with his eyes just burning into my skin, I felt goose bumps arise slowly crawling up my arm. Someone coughed catching me out of my day dream, bringing me back into my drunken state.
'Excuse me pretty girl..' He spoken in a raspy voice. 'I couldn't help but notice you've been staring at me all evening' A sheepish grin grew on his face and dimples were displayed, and I couldn't lie he was ever so attractive. He had a very chizzled look about him, with dark brown hair swooped over his forehead. I couldn't really guess where I'd seen him before but I could feel colour rise in my cheeks.
'Sorry.. I was just day dreaming' I lightly spoke looking to the ground, as his eye contact made me uneasy.
'There's no need to be shy, I've heard all about you.. From you pal Daisy over there' Nudging me towards where Daisy was standing at the bar. He used this as an excuse to slide closer to me, but not close enough to be deemed as a threat. The small light above our table appeared to illuiminate the entire room, It wasn't the most flattering light, but this on this guy it was something else.
Being in such a state, I'm not entirely sure how long we were all at that table. I didn't appear to be doing much, not entirely sure how to act. I took it upon myself to act interested in the supposedly hilarious coversation taking place.
'Anyway I must be of, it's 4am.. I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow.' He quickly slid his hand down my leg, kissed my cheek and before I could respond he was gone. I was truly baffled at how he was so charming yet dark. I didnt't dare to think what he had yet planned.
What interested me the most was how he hadn't spoken much, yet within the table he had contol and power over everything and everyone.
