I had McDonald's in my hand for him.I couldn't stomach eating anything from there besides there chicken nuggets and caramel frappes.They were the only things I ate and drank. Dave wanted a Mc chicken sandwich,fries,and a sprite. I placed the bag and drink on his desk as I seen Kiera with her head phones on and she didn't hear anything as she watched Spongebob on her tablet.I wish I was watching spongebob right now.
I went to go walk off as Dave grabbed my wrist pulling me back. I looked at him as he ended the call. "Ain gon say hi nothing?"He asked as my small hand rested in his huge one I slipped my hand out of his smoothing out my skirt as I spoke. "You seemed pretty pissed off in your phone call I didn't wanna disturb you."I told him with a small smile. "I'm fime just some stuff goin on,I finally lawyered up Natalie was served with papers earlier."He told me. "Good for you this must be a huge relief off your chest."I told him. "Yeah man but I feel bad,don't get me wrong wrong,I love Kiera but I wish I had her born into better circumstances,with a caring mother,and a mother and father that ain always fighting,now she ain gon have no motherly figure in her life."He stressed and I rubbed his back. "We all make mistakes and some of them are beautiful it was your gods plan for you to have Kiera aight,and she has plenty of motherly figures around her,she has her grandmother and Lauren Dave so don't stress,and she's smarter than you think she told me how she knows her mother is wrong and she's evil,she knows who's in the wrong."I told him. "Thank goodness she understand now,I ain want her to hate me for taking her mother out her life."He said. "Trust and belive she understands." "Aight enough with all this mushy shit!"He said making me laugh. "Here go the papers for you to file ma."He told me. "Ill get right to it boss."I said smirking knocking his pen off the desk on purpose I bent down to pick it up. "You lucky Kiera in here."I heard him and I chuckled placing the pen back I got scared as a loud alarm went off and red and white flashed the office and the hallway. Kiera took off her head phones confused. "Daddy what's goin on,im scared."Kiera said looking terrified. "Code 8 building on lock down,this is not a drill."I heard and I was about to freak out as there were no lights on but the red and white ones. "Cmere,we gon be fine."Dave assured her and I got quiet hearing a woman screaming and I heard gunshots as a door busted open.
I was terrified as Kiera covered her ears from the loud noise Dave got a gun he kept hidden at his desk as he loaded it and I tried to get Kiera to focus on other things even though I was shitting bricks right now. "Calm down Kiera we gon be fine okay."I told her. "Mommy?"She said looking behind me and I turned around seeing a disheveled Natalie with a gun in her hand and my heart beat out of its chest.
