Part 19: Never leave my side

Jack's Pov

After all of the chaos. The police and fire trucks, showed up. I was put in an ambulance and got the bullet removed. from my shoulder and the paramedics bandaged me up.
Zach was wrapped up in a towel with a oxygen mask on his face, same with Hunter. Jonah, Corbyn, Christina, and Daniel, telling everything that happened.

A policeman then came up to me and leaned against the part of the ambulance.

"I'm just going to ask you a few questions, if you could just answer them." He says, as I nod my head 'yes.' "Where were you kept during this situation." He said. I anwsered the question and he wrote it down. He then asked "Do you know any of the kidnappers names?"

I told them their names, the police officer, then grabbed his walky-talky (i think thats how u spell it🤔) and spoke into it. (Blah, blah, blah)

He then looked at me and said "Thank you for your time."

"Your all bandaged up, but take it easy." The women said.

I slowly stood up and got out of the ambulance. I walked over to where Hunter was sitting, and took a seat next to him in the ambulance letting my legs dangle above the ground.

It was awkward silence until I broke it "How you holding up?" I say looking up at the night sky.

Hunter takes off the oxygen mask "Ive been better." He says staring at the ground. "How about you?" He then turns his head towards me.

I looked at him. "I still want to kill you, but I won't because I'm too nice of a person." I say with a little smile.

Hunter chuckles and looks at the oxgen mask in his hand. "Yeah, I kinda deserve it, for being a bitch." He says, chuckling again.

"Your not a bitch." I say, pausing in the middle of the sentence. "Your a cunt." We both started bursting out laughing.

I wince as I stood up to my feet.

"I'm sorry, for everything." Hunter says.

"Why did you do it in the first place?" I question.

"I was just jelous of you and what you had that I couldn't. Like seriously who wouldn't want to be with him." Hunter says. I turn to look at Zach just sitting in the ambulance laying his head against it.

"I never told you this Hunter but, I was jelous of you too. When you were dating Zach." I confessed.

"Really?"

"Yeah. By the way, if you come to school again someday-."

Hunter then cuts me off. "I'll beat you up."

I then smile and fistbump him. "Dick."

"Jackass." I then walk over to where Zach was.

"Hey." I said sitting next to Zach. Zach then lays my head on my shoulder.

"I'm so out of it." Zach says in a tired tone.

"Same." I then lay a kiss on his head.

"Promise me something." Zach says lifting his head up to look at me in the eyes. "Never leave my side."

"I'll never leave your side again, baby. You can count on that."
