Let's talk about profile pictures! So as we talked in the last chapter, it's very important to give the viewer a good first impression.
And one of the first things your viewer sees, is your profile picture. So why not make it pretty and welcoming.
The cool thing about a profile picture is, that it can reflect your account, who you are and your content. So here, you can get very creative and make something very unique.
First, we'll give you a list of what a profile picture can consist of. All the things are optional. Just see if anything gives you any ideas.

ADD : picture(s) of the people your fan page is about. This way, the viewer knows who the page stands for. The quality of the picture, does not have to be super good, since it'll be minimized anyway. So just keep that in mind.
ADD : text on your profile picture, can also look very cool. Here it could be your username which makes the picture very unique.
ADD : color to your picture! Colors are important, because they can make your profile picture pop! Use as many colors as you like, but if you're more on the minimal side, we advise not too many colors.
This list seems obvious in a way, but really think about what you like. Welcome all ideas and try them out!
We would also like to say, that it can take time before you find something you really like. We have ourselves gone through a variety of different profile pictures, to find our style.

1st : we found a picture of the boys. We wanted a picture where they all were on. Then we got a plain white, square shaped picture. This you can easily get with the app Phonto.

2nd : we then made an outline since a profile picture on Instagram is round. Afterlight has a good feature where you can make a round shape. This makes the process easier.

3rd : then we got onto our png app, Pixomatic. Here we took the photo of the boys, and cut it out. The gray outline then works as this line so that we know, where the profile picture starts.

4th : we then go to Phonto yet again and add the text. And then back to Afterlight to put a new round shape on, to clean it up.

So that's a way of doing it. We like having a simple and minimal picture on our profile. And if you do too, this might give you an idea.
