CHAPTER 8:

Lunch was quiet...too quiet. I felt everyone knew something I didn't. I felt like I was being talked about I started getting uncomfortable; the silence was eating me alive.

"What's going on, guys?" I asked.

"Nothing, why." John replied.

"I feel like something is going on..."

"Well, nothing is up. So...you and Trevor, huh?" once he asked me I was glowing red in the cheeks. How did he know that?! Did Trevor tell him that? I thought he would be at least a bit respectful about it. I don't even know if I really like him like that. Honestly I haven't thought about that evening since it happened.

"Earth to Lydia." John continued. I then glared at him and turned my head to Trevor. He was looking down and playing with his pants pockets awkwardly.

"Did you tell everyone." I asked Trevor with slight bitterness.

"No I told Jesse only and made sure he promised not to tell anyone." We then both looked up and glared at Jesse life threateningly.

"I uh um...ugh, so! Where is Phoenix?!" Jesse replied. There was so much worry in his face.

"Absent." Trevor growled.

"Jesse...I will not beat the living SHIT out of you" I took a deep breath and tried to relax my tensed body "if you will tell me who else you told."

"This is the following people I mentioned this to: Trevor, Camille, John, Phoenix, and..." he then froze and I could tell that all he wanted to do was run away and hide for a year or two.

"Out with it, dip-shit!!" Trevor added, angrily.

"You!"

"Shut-up Jesse, don't you DARE change the subject. I am so pissed right now...I swear to God."

"Ok um...Caitlyn."

"Are you fucking serious!? Why in hell would you EVER tell her something like that, let alone speak to her!!" Caitlyn is this son of a bitch bastard who used to be my best friend. Then one day, she decided to treat me like a piece of crap and we just parted ways, bitterly.

"I know I know. I was just at Target, all by myself because I had to pick up a notebook for school and on the way back her "group" decided to gang up on me. I was in front of Morrill and I tried to walk away but they all threw me to the ground and beat the shit out of me. She said that she heard a rumor about you and Trevor and she told me to tell the truth or else..." Caitlyn had a crush on Trevor since before we met him, but he was never interested. She also really started getting ruff in late 7th grade and began a little gang of hers that bullies people, kind of like in the movies.

"You son of a bitch...I'm sorry, but what the hell!? It was just that fat lump of shit and her two emo pals. What's so hard about punching someone in the face and running away?" Trevor questioned.

"No dude, this time she had two guys with her. They were the ones that beat me up; she just stood of to the side and ordered me to say what was going on and yeah..."

"How come you don't have any cuts or bruises?" I asked.

"It happened on Saturday so I healed pretty quickly. I still have like, three bruises on my stomach and there is a cut under my chin and by my eyebrow." He said while pointing to his healing cuts. I started feeling bad for him, but I was still furiated. I wanted to beat the life out of her, even though I'm not a fan of fighting. I think it's the stupidest way to handle a situation, honestly. But she deserved it... I was so mad I couldn't even think straight. I wanted to hit something...someone...hard. I then got up from the lunch table and began moving towards Caitlyn, the others followed me and then realized what I was doing.
