They Can't Stop Our Love (Camren)

Chapter 7

Camila's P.O.V
It's been weeks since my fight with Sierra and to say it was awkward between us after that was an understatement, the tension was unbearable. She would try and talk to me but I would cut her off or avoid her altogether; I was upset and she needed to learn I'm not someone she can demand to do whatever she wants...it's my life not hers.

However, our parents are starting to worry about Sierra and I's relationship going south, so during the days Sierra is at home we try to act cordial in front of our parents. Then again, when Lauren comes over and Sierra is there, my sister starts to act up around our parents and now they know that Lauren might be the problem. They haven't said anything to me yet but knowing my parents they have something up there sleeves to rectify the problem.

Now it's a couple days until Halloween, normally us as sisters would spending it together but with the fuss between Sierra and I it won't be happening this year; I'm really sad that Sofia has to suffer and have the day go to shit. We would take her tick-or-treating early, watch a few Disney Halloween movies then Sierra and I would go to whatever party that's being held in the neighbourhood after putting Sofia to sleep...but that's a definite no no this year.

"Mija, is Lauren coming over this weekend?" My mom asked causing me to stop eating my breakfast and my dad looked up at us from his paper.

"I'm not sure mamá. Why?" I answered as my father just watched while Sofia ate her breakfast and watch cartoon on her tablet.

"We would like to have her over for dinner with us. You can invite Dinah too if you want, we just want to get to know her better since you girl have become such close friends." Mom said with a half smile on her lip and dad watching us with his eyebrow raised. I have a feeling that this is going to be a trap but I guess we should just get it over with.

"Sure, I'll ask them and get back to you later, okay?" I asked and mom smiled widely while dad went back to his newspaper.

After that weird breakfast I grabbed my bag and told Sofia that I was ready cause I felt like taking her to school today, so she got her bag and we went into my car. Along the ride Sofia would hum to the music and rocked her body, I love to see my sister so carefree and she has such a wonderful mind.

"Kaki, when are you going to let people hear you sing? You have such a pretty voice and I love it when you sing to me." Sofia asked and I smiled her before focusing my eyes back on the road.

"One day Sofi but right now my singing is just for us." I said and that caused her to smile widely at me, happy with my answer.

"Kaki," she called for Mr again but she paused to gather her thoughts, "is Lauren your girlfriend?" She asked and I was shocked that she would ask me that, plus, I thought Lauren and I were being careful around her. "It's okay if she is cause I know that sometimes you can have girl and girl or boy and boy or girl and boy. It's all love, right?"

"Right, Sofi but why would you think that Lauren is my girlfriend?" I asked as I joined her school's drop off line and turned to give her my full attention.

"Well, you and Lauren act like hie mamá and papá is when they have mamá and papá time...plus when we watching movies in your room and when I went to the bathroom I came back I saw Lauren kissing you." She said and I was shocked and a little embarrassed that my baby sister saw that.

"What do you think of Lauren?" I asked because there was no point to side step the situation when she's handling it so well.

"I think she's really cool and have really pretty eyes. If she is your girlfriend then I'm really happy that she makes you happy, Kaki." Sofia said and it made me really happy that she said that...I have the best little sister ever.
