mackenzie's pov

"what made you finally made you want to hang out with us?" mark asks while driving lauren and i to in and out

"do you not want me to go?" he panics and shakes his head

"im joking mark, and i dont know." i answer

"you guys are so cute," lauren sighs

we all laugh. my stomach rumbles and grumbles and makes all weird noises when seeing the restaurant

"hungry?" mark smirks

i slap his arm and remind him to cleanse his mind.

"but yes, im hungry. for food. nothing else. especially not you." i say

being with mark is much different than being with johnny. johnny and i took things at a slow pace.

and mark and i are taking things at a faster pace. he likes fo joke about having sex because he knows that i'll say no. but im actually considering it.

"yah, those burgers look good," lauren eyes the posters hung on the glass windows.

we both hop out of the car when he parks.

"ah," i moan at the amazing smell of junk food

"gross, save that for your alone time with mark," lauren jokes

i smack her arm and scold her. mark eventually catches up with us and hears our conversation.

"you better get yourself a glass of holy water with that burger." we both burst into giggles at

i hear her giggling and my head whips back to see her laughing along with lauren and mark.

"kenzie! lauren! mark! we're over here!" annie yells.

it catches many people's attention in the restaurant but she doesn't care.

my eyes widen in horror knowing that they are here to eat with us. we reserved the big booth for my birthday.

mark slides in the seat next to me and mackenzie does the same to mark. lauren does the same to kenzie.

i clear me throat, "its good to see you here mackenzie."

she doesn't look at me. "thanks, and happy birthday."

"thanks," i mutter

surprisingly the atmosphere wasnt awkward after that.

nadia leans to put her head on my shoulder and i allow her to.

the rest chit and chat. im taken back to seeing mackenzie smiling and also socializing,

soon we order and wait for food,

i nudge nadia off me. "im uh going to use the restroom,"

i get into a high crouch position and shimmy my way out of the booth.

mackenzie gets slightly uncomfortable when im above her, so i hurry to get out.

when i come out she lushes lauren so hard that she almost falls on her butt. she get out of the booth herself and pulls mark out too. they wait for me to slide in first.
