Studio Surprise

James's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of one of the babies crying, it was still dark out. I looked over at my clock, it was two thirty in the morning. I slid out of bed and walked next door to the twins room. I saw Julian crying.

"Shh," I said picking up Julian "daddy's right here."

She kept crying so I changed her diaper. After I did, she stopped and I picked her up. She smiled at me.

"You woke me up." I say to her while laying her in her crib and turning on the mobile. She started to slowly drift off to sleep, so I walked into my room and got back in bed. Soon I was drifting to sleep.

~Four hours later~

I hear my alarm clock buzz. I groan and hit the snooze button. I get up and get ready for work. I walk into the twins' room and see that they're both awake. I pick them up, change their diapers, feed them, then put them in their playpen. By the time I got done with all that Peta was awake and I had to go.

"I gotta go to work," I said to her as she walked in the living room "can you please stay with the kids?"

"Sure" She said with a smile.

"If you need anything just call me, there's stuff in the fridge, there's money in the cookie jar if you need it, feed the twins every three hours, Fox will sorta growl if he needs to go outside, and be safe." I said making sure everything went smoothly while I was at the studio.

"Got it," she said "there's some traffic on the way to town, it might storm around five, there's a good café on Vine Ave., it's cheap but good, and make sure to stay safe." she said all of that in the same tone of voice I did.

"Bye," I said smiling while grabbing my keys and wallet "I'll see you around five thirty."

"Bye" she said smiling as I walked out the door. I got in my car and started driving to work, she was right. There was bad traffic on the way to town.

An hour later

Finally I arrived at the studio just in time to record. After we recorded a few songs, we took a break. That's when Carlos told Logan and Kendall about Alexa being pregnant. They congratulated him and cracked some jokes, after that I told them the whole story about Trevor and Julian.

"Maybe you can give Carlos some tips about babies." Kendall said

"They cry a lot." I said and everyone started laughing. Then our manager came in.

"I have some great news!" he said all excited. We all looked at him.

"You guys are going on tour for six months!" He exclaimed. Everyone jumped up except for me.

"Wait," I said and everyone got quiet and looked at me "I can't go on tour."

"Why not?" my manager asked kind of ticked off.

"My friend is four months pregnant," I said " I'd miss the baby being born."

"And I have two kids now, I can't just leave them."

"You have to go on this tour you're one fourth of the band!" He said getting mad

"If I have to go because I'm in the band, then I quit." I said, and with that I walked out the door. I got in my car and drove home. When I got there, I saw Peta watching the news. I looked down at the twins sleeping on a pallet on the floor with Fox laying between them. I smiled and looked at the tv.

"What's on the news?" I asked Peta sitting next to her on the couch.

"A huge car wreck that happened a few minutes ago." she answered.

I looked at the tv then looked down at the twins. That was the road I just came off of, in a way Trevor and Julian just saved my life.
