^Blake
//Peyton//
The rogue has been in the hospital for about a week now, he is stable, but having a hard time healing. The doctor took a blood sample, and revealed that he has a lethal amount of wolfs bane in his system. It worried me a lot. Because he submitted to me, I had a lot of responsibility, and a bond was instantly formed. I have a feeling that he is a proud person, and will not like the fact that he did submit. I can defiantly tell that he has a dominant personality for sure.
The door opening pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned my head, and saw my brothers beta, Blake.
"Hey Blake, what's up?" I asked leaning back into my chair.
"As we went through his duffel bag, we found clothes that look to belong to young girls maybe nine and eleven years of age. And we found his phone in it, just need either a thumb print or a password." I nodded and held my hand out for the phone.
Blake placed the phone in my hand, and I walked over to the rogue and put his thumb over the scanner. It unlocked quickly, and I immediately went to the camera. As I scrolled through the most recent pictures, two little girls were frequently shown. As I got further into the pictures though, selfies of his bruised face, and wounds all over his body became the focus.
My heart rate sped up and I felt Blake's presence over my shoulder. He gasped when I scrolled to a particularly bad picture of his side. There was a large gash down his side, and it was surrounded by bruises that were both old and new. These wounds were ones that you wouldn't be able to inflict to yourself, and it made me start to feel sick.
"Blake, I need to find those girls. Tell my brother that I will be gone for a week at most. When the doctor approves of it, move him into my house, and watch him carefully. Got it?" He shook his head yes, and I left to get packed.
On the way back to my house, I remembered a picture that particularly disturbed me. It was a picture of the two little girls being dragged away from whatever camp they were at. It was the most recent photo, and I can only assume that the rogue was looking for them when he stumbled into our land.
I quickly got packed and loaded into my Jeep. There were only five other packs around the neutral territory, and no one else could get to it. So, I made my way towards the Midnight Sun pack.//Blake//
Peyton told me to watch over her rogue, so I stayed at the hospital. But, man was I hungry. I made my way down to the cafeteria, bought a full lunch, and started back to the room.
When I got back, the rogue was starting to come to. I sat down in an armchair, and began to eat the grilled cheese that I had bought. The rogue began to groan, so I left to find a nurse.
Two nurses came into the room and began to speak softly to him.
"Hello, my name is Becky, I am a nurse at The Black Blood pack hospital. Can you tell us what happened to you that caused all of the previous wounds on your body?" She spoke calmly, and it drew me closer to see the old wounds. But when I got within eyesight, I saw that his eyes had grown wide, and his hands were shaking. He didn't look to good. Becky grabbed his hand and spoke softly again.
"Okay baby, just take a breath, you don't need to relive that right now." She turned to the other nurse and told her to put something in a drip. "Right now lets get some food in ya. It will make you feel a lot better." She smiled, and almost instantly a nurse walked in with a tray of food.
They moved his bed up, and set the food on a moveable table, and then all left the room.
"Who are you." He said at nothing in particular, while getting a spoonful of soup.
"My name is Blake. I am the future beta of this pack." I responded softly.
"You don't need to be all soft like those nurses." This made me smile a little. "Where is That girl, oh what's her name. Penny. No. Patty. No."
"Peyton." I said simply. "She left not long ago. She is going on a trip to some of the nearby packs. Not gonna be back for a week or so."
He nodded, and picked up some food on his fork. We sat there in silence for a while before a he winced in pain.
"What's wrong?" I shouted, and he flinched a little.
"I got stabbed five times." He replied with a sassy tone.
I laughed as a nurse walked in with a needle of some sort.
"Alright hun, this is just some pain meds, they will probably make you fall asleep, but they will also help flush out that bane and you will heal faster." She explained and injected it into the drip.
He nodded and adjusted himself into a more comfortable position in the bed.
"I'm going to head back to the pack house, but I'll be back tomorrow." I said as I got up to leave. When I turned around he was already asleep. I chuckled, and made my way over to the pack house to see my best friend and future leader, Alpha Luke.
