I'm a Specialist! ; Prologue (Part 1)

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

Hi, my name is (F/N) (L/N)! A 5-year old girl living in Kyoto... Born and raised to be awesome! You're probably wondering what I'm doing today, well... I'm actually training to become a hunter! I absolutely dream of being one! It must be a tough job to go through with- but that isn't stopping me! My brother told me all about it, and I was so surprised that they had to go through a lot just to become one, so I'm currently training so I can pass what they call the 'Hunter's Exam.'

"Konnichiwa (Y/N)-chan! Here, I was at the Ohanami earlier and I got some pretty flowers from a sakura!" My brother, Nishikawa said while handing me a flower, "Arigato!" I beamed, bowing in the process. "Are we going to use these flowers to know our Nen type, Nishi-kun?" I question my brother, he nods and grins, "I thought it would be special to practice Nen with cherry blossoms instead of leaves. We could go practice at Karesansui if you'd like!" I nodded and he insisted on holding onto the cherry blossoms for me, I brought out two of our plastic cups and prepared to scoop up water from the Ohanami.

~Time skip~

Not long after, we arrived at the Rock Gardens, the moment we picked a spot to do the water divination, Nishikawa went first, "This should be the easy part, huh?" He asked, sighing. "Yes... I can see that your aura is already forming." I exclaimed to him, not long after, he closed his eyes and and took deep breathes.

"T-the water... Change c-color." I said, confused. "Hm, if it changed... Does that mean..." He paused as he dipped his finger in the water and swirled his finger around it to make sure it was completely changed, "Wait- are you trying to change it, Nishi-kun? Because I don't think you can change your aura..." He didn't answer, he slowly pulled his finger out and put his hands to the side of the cup once more, it changed colors again. "Oh! it's changing still... N-no way, it can't be!" He exclaimed, "But what does it mean, brother?", "I'm an Emitter, (Y/N)-chan!" He beamed. "Whoa! Well... Can you link your aura onto me? Like a beam? I'm certain Emitters can do that since detachment of aura is one of the many abilities of an Emitter!", "Let's see!"... He positioned himself in front of me and placed his arm towards me. 'Is it working, (Y/N)? I... I hope it is!', "Oh my gosh! It is! It- it is working!"

I felt some type of Nen disconnect from me, my mind was swirling with nausea but I didn't care one bit- this was so cool!
"R-really? Cool! Hey, how's about I pull out another link so we can both communicate using just our thoughts?" It would be amazing if the headache wouldn't clogged my thoughts, but, nonetheless, I wanted to communicate. "Yeah! But can you pull it off? I don't really think you have to do it if you can't. It's alright.", "N-no, it's okay- I'll handle it!"

We had tons of fun poking around with Nishi-kun's Nen abilities, we really didn't practice our attacks using Nen since we had no idea how to activate or 'to open' our nodes in order to use Nen in the first place, but we were training with some staffs and sharp weaponry, we had to appease our mother to use sharp tools though, which was a little bit hard- but we managed to pry her out! we were swift and agile once we feel the grip of something used for combat. We had practiced opening our Aura Nodes after our training with weapons, it took a lot of time, and I mean a lot, and the fact that we actually opened all of them was truly a big achievement!

It took some time for me to focus on the water divination due to the nausea but I finally was able to keep intact with the process... I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe... "I wish this would work, I really want to know what my Nen type is!"

I felt my aura nodes release out aura but it wasn't blazing through my skin, as soon as I was relaxed and patient, I recited the order of The Nen of The Flame from my mind... 'Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Hatsu... Once I take control over my Nen, I solemnly swear to never use it against the good of mankind, I will serve justice on whoever hurts or kills those who are close to me.', I keep repeating my pledge of Ten and Zetsu until I moved on to the third step, Ren. "I solemnly swear to never use it against the good of mankind, I will serve justice on whoever hurts or kills those who are close to me. Nobody shall take away those who I care about, I will take matters seriously - and if necessary, I'd have to massacre them in return. I will shatter those whom'st killed them, I will return the favor to them by crushing those who will massacre my family." I stressed out family and them the most out of the other 2 stressed words, just the thought of my arch nemesis killing those people... I couldn't bear to relive that moment, not again... My Ren slowly intensifying along with my aura as I open my eyes, I could feel the heat, the temper, the release! but I did not have to use Hatsu just yet, no... I needed to use Gyo. Slowly, my eyes had formed aura, I focused my aura and extended it to my whole arm, I felt the aura move downwards my right arm and it began to expand, I slowly closed my eyes once more and breathed in, I took some advice and tidbits of techniques from a platform filled with videos, their methods were very helpful and kept it in mind, then... I slowly lifted my arm and decided to attempt to launch my knuckles into the thin air and see how much aura and power I had, the reason I needed to do this was because of, again, the hunter exam... I was known as the intelligent one among my classmates and my family since I was very independent and realistic, right from the start I had a piece of mind, I knew the world was not unicorns and rainbows, there's no light without the dark and there's no bad without the good, I was right. One day, a troupe raided this village I was in when I was 3, they said I was already mindful of my surroundings since I was taught that way, it runs in the family, I saw the troupe kill, diminish the village one by one, and they killed 2 people so close to me. I'm a naive kid, but serious at times, the reason I also have to pass this hunter exam was because I have to defend this country like my dad, that troupe could be anywhere, they could be around the world for that matter, I wanted to be like my dad, but to be more complex and wise when it comes to decisions. I opened my eyes and chanted out: "Nozomi, Hikari, watashi no moeru sonzai no ikari o kanjiru!" I launched my fist into the air, creating an absolute burst of wind gushing throughout Karesansui, I relaxed myself after a bit, realizing that my aura was now released... I...

I could finally see what my Nen type is!!

I turned around to face my brother, who was in shock and in terror of what I had done, he shrugged it off and looked at me, amused and filled with excitement.
"(Y-Y/N). Your cherry blossom, its range widened! Your aura also made the water swirl around and bubble! That means... (Y/N)! You're a Specialist!", "No way, no way!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, I'm a specialist, I'm a specialist! I couldn't have asked for more! Does that mean all my stats are almost at 100-percent? No way! "Oh (Y/N), come here!" I ran towards my brother and hugged him, "I really desired of being a Specialist! I never thought I could've been one! C'mon, Nishikawa! we have to tell Mama and Oji-san about this!", "What about Ishikuro? You can't forget about your other older brother now would you?" I giggled and playfully punched him, "Of course not, I'd even tell Kuroshi about it if he were adopted already." I heard from my mom that we were going to have a little brother who was also 5 years old, but I was older than him by months as it said on a piece of paper called a 'birth certificate', my uncle Nakuro, the father figure I have, told us that he would be arriving here at 10 a.m, we saw him two days ago and we planned that we would be getting him yesterday, but we were delayed since my father sent us a letter, I was hoping it would be a photo, and then we remembered that Ohanami had just begun so we decided that mom had to pick Kuroshi up this day.

We had arrived home minutes ago and we discussed what happened earlier, I was squealing here and there, I was hyper, and I didn't stop showing them what I did, they were very proud, Ishikuro had an interest in Nen but didn't do anything and just listened to our stories. I was very happy about what I had accomplished! It was as if I was a real superhero! But not long after that, all of us went to go to the adoption center and picked up Kuroshi, I was so happy! I had someone to talk to that also loved superheroes! I finally knew my Nen type and I finally mastered an advanced move of Nen called Gyo, I feel so proud, it was nice.
