I quickly got out of bed and got dressed, I put on a plain white shirt, blue jeans and my jacket, I picked up my bag and went downstairs. On my way down I noticed my mum had the radio on in the kitchen and Clocks by Coldplay was currently playing and I could hear mum trying to sing the lyrics under her breath. I made my way into the kitchen,

"Morning Mum, what time is it?" I asked.

"It's 8:30, so eat your breakfast then get going to school," She replied. I put my bag down and walked over the the dining table and laid out on a plate was some bacon and eggs. After I finished my breakfast mum walked back in,

"So are you sure you can handle going to school?" she asked,

"Yes I'll be fine and if I miss any more school I'll be behind," I replied. I picked up my bag and gave my mum a hug,

"I gotta get to school, have a great day," I said before heading out the front door.

It was colder than the night before, and the sun shone brightly in my eyes as I made my way through the streets, past The Den and down the main streets of Wickstone, finally the clocktower in the distance came into view as well did the main building of Wickstone High. In the distance I could also see the crowds of people gathering out the front making their way inside. As I made my way towards the front entrance, I saw a few people I recognised but everyone I saw looked at me with a look of disgust, everyone had obviously heard what had happened and the fact that I was the only survivor didn't help. I walked past people, trying not to make eye contact as I went inside, I walked down the hall to my locker. Number 632, I found my locker and painted on it and surrounding it it bright red,

"YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE THAT DIED!" I looked at the words for a few seconds before I heard a yell from behind me.

"Hey..... Alex Fletcher!" I heard it get closer. As I turned around I saw a girl storming towards me, It took me a second but I recognised her, she was Cleo Acosta and she was Darcy Canto's girlfriend but he was one of the guys that died when we were attacked by the wolves. She got closer and closer before I saw her lift her fist up and I could see that she was about to punch me but I thought I deserved it so I took the punch, it was a wide swing with surprising impact behind it for such a small girl but then I felt the force of another one and after that I stopped keeping count I just leant against the lockers as she kept hitting me and I noticed a crowd building around and out of the corner of my eye I noticed Ari and Xander pushing their way through the crowd to try and stop it I looked at Xander and he understood and grabbed Ari and stopped her from pushing through and making more of a scene, I gave him a nod and he started to move away from the crowd pulling Ari along with him. I turned back to look at Cleo as she punched me in the stomach again. Eventually she stopped throwing punches and collapsed on the ground crying, I looked up and around and everyone that had formed a crowd and they were all just staring at me. Beaten and bruised I picked up my bag and pushed my way through and passed the crowd in the direction of Xander and Ari.

I walked around for a couple of minutes before I found them at our usual spot on the roof. Ari was pacing around impatiently and Xander was sitting down against the wall staring at the ground. When Ari noticed me making my way over she gasped and when I started to fall I heard her scream my name and the last thing I saw was her running over to me before I blacked out.

I was back again, in this cold dark space that I knew nothing of.

"That was quite the beating you took Alik," I turned to see Vitali and Raya walking over,

"I'm surprised that you could stand to take such a beating and not fight back. I respect your restraint," Said Raya.

"So why are you guys here this time?" I asked,
