After about an hour of chilling at Starbucks- yes, I finally got the name right- we walk out, and us girls head down the street.
"Hey, girls! Need a ride? We got room." Josh asks, and his friends beckon us over to the three cars they brought.
Before anybody can say anything I walk swiftly to Josh's car, sit in the front passenger seat, and look towards him and smile.
"Yep, that would be wonderful." I say.
"Forward, are we now." He says with a laugh, and puts his arm on the back of my seat. I know its probably from a force of habit, but I can't stop myself, when I smile even wider.
I look back at Luna and she glares at me and walks to the back of his car. I smirk. Not today Satan.
Macey and Adrienne ride in somebody else's car, so I say bye to both of them.
In the car is, Josh, Luna, two of his friends, and me. Josh starts driving down the street and he blasts music from his stereo, and I can detect that the music is rap.
In Earthology, we had to learn their music genres. I remember the text book describing it as having an easy flow, must of the time rhymes, has a distinctive beat, and the songs tend to be very vulgar.
I can feel myself start to nod my head to the beat. It's just so intoxicating, and I can't stop myself. I start to rock, and Josh notices, smirks, and starts to rap along with the song. I laugh and turn the volume up.
"What are you doing?" Josh asks.
"Trying to drown you out. Has anybody told you you (A/N WHY ENGLISH LANGUAGE!) suck at rapping?" I say teasingly, and everybody in the car laughs, except Luna. She just rolls her eyes.
"Jeez, Mercetie, I didn't know you were so cutthroat!" One of Josh's friends, Ryan says.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me." I retort back.
"Ooh! I have an idea, let's play never have I ever!" Josh's other friend, Karter said.
"Fool, how can I play if I'm driving!?" Josh says while rolling his eyes.
"Well, let's crash at my house, my parents aren't there. Let's hang there." Karter suggests. So we do.
When I'm about to get out the car, I see Josh circling around the car. My heart races. Is he gonna open up my door for me? Oh, he sure does open a door. FOR LUNA! Oh cousre, She batts her eyelashes, and steps out of her seat, but before she walks away, She kisses him on the cheek! And he smiles! SMILES!
Weren't we just having fun in the front, playing around and teasing, did he just forget about our connection?
I can feel my face heating up, and I start to have faster breaths. Calm down Mercetie, you're okay, don't let them see you upset, or you're going to embarrass yourself. And with that, I hop out the car, and walk into Karter's house. He leads us down a set of stairs to what they call, "The Den".
In the Den, there's a L-shaped sofa in the middle of the room, a T.V. and gaming chair, a pool table, and to top it all off, a mini refrigerator with I think "soda" in it.
"Welcome, people, now let's get to business. Everybody sit." Karter says, and we all sit down.
This time, I sit next to Josh, but Luna sits on his other side. Well, at least I'm sitting next to him.
"Quick question, how do you play?" Luna asks. She sits criss-cross, and leans on Josh. Would you just stop?!
"It's easy, just put up five fingers, and one of us will say never have I ever, and say something that is hopefully something everybody else has done. If you've done the thing the person says, you have to put one finger down. The person who still has fingers up by the end of the game wins." Ryan explains.
Sounds easy to do. I nod my head, and put up one hand. Everyone else does too. We proceed with the game. Luna starts off.
"Never have I ever played never have I ever until today." She says with a smirk, and everybody laughs. All the boy's drop one finger.
🌟🌟🌟
After a few rounds, I'm not doing good. I only have 1 finger left, Luna has 3, and the boy's are down to 2. Ryan goes next.
"Never have I ever kissed someone before." Ryan says with a smirk.
This question just isn't for getting people out, it's trying to see if we're actually going to tell the truth, and I have a feeling they would sense of I was lying.
My cheeks burn, and I look down. Hopefully they don't notice. I've never actually kissed a guy, I mean, I've kissed my father, but that doesn't count. But it's just weird for me to be almost 18, and still not have kissed anyone.
Then, an idea pops in my head. A smile creeps on my face. I turn towards Josh, yank his collar towards me, and put my lips on his. At first, he's shocked, but after a few seconds he kisses back.
His lips are so soft and inviting. I've never really thought about someone's lips, but his are something I wouldn't have imagined. He puts his hand on my waist, and I put my hands in the crook of his neck. After what seems like forever, I hear a subtle cough, and I pull away. I smile, blushing.
"Looks like i have to put down my last finger. I'm out." I say, and while I put down my last finger, Josh grabs my other hand and holds it. He smiles, and whispers something in my ear.
"That was wow. Didn't know you were THAT forward, but I like it." He says, his breath tickling the top of my ear. I chuckle, and turn towards everyone else.
Karter whistles, Ryan claps, smirking, and Luna looks annoyed.
I may be out, but I'm in with Josh.
A/N- Hey guys, have you've been liking the last few chapters? There's been a little conflict between Luna and Mercetie because of Josh. What'll think will happen next. Comment now. Love ya! 😘
