Kim didn't hesitate when he took the seat in front of him, his eyes never leaving his target. The boy was so misterious in every way, that Kimmon was afraid he would vanish the second he blinked. He never saw him go, never. Whenever Kim looked his way after a song, the boy was just... gone. As if he had never been there at all. It was like a breeze in a hot summer, the sudden hit of the cold wind that let you breathe, allowing you to escape the hot, dense air around you, and flowing into your lungs. However, as sudden as that wind came, it also went away, leaving you once again surrounded by unbearable heat.

Kim was nervous, more than that, actually. He had been admiring him for months now, the beauty of the boy always drawning him in. His hair was almost white, but also kind of blonde, he wouldn't know how to describe it, but what he did know was that it accentuated his features greatly. Today, he only had a jersey on, black with white stripes on the sleeves. Black as the void inside his eyes. Black as the undrunk coffee in front of him, next to his closed book. Kim could read 'Bag of bones' on the cover.

"That's Stephen King" Kim uttered, pointing at it.

The boy looked down and then up at him, frowning.

"No, that's a book".

Kim was left dumbfounded, and he let out an awkward laugh. "Uh, no. I meant, that's a Stephen King's book".

And suddenly, the boy's lips curved slowly, and he chuckled. "Oh. Sorry, yes. Are you a fan of his works?".

Kim nodded. "Huge fan". He grinned, and then leaned back on the creaky chair. "I'm Kimmon".

The boy smiled back.

"I know" he said, and his cheeks reddened slightly. "I've been coming here for months now. You always introduce yourself before you start".

"Ah, yeah... I kind of forgot that" he laughed, placing his hands against the corner of the table, his fingers drumming against the wood. "And you are..."

"Bas" the boy said, and crossed his arms over his book. "I'm Bas".

Kim smiled softly. "Nice to meet you... Bas".

Kimmon was tasting the name. It felt odd being saying it out loud now after having been wondering about it for months. It suited him, he thought. And it was also kind of a coincidence, the fact that he had an instrument's name. Perhaps this was the universe's gift. He could only hope.

The night was cold, as always, and the wind was rustling the trees outside. They could hear them bumping against the windows. Kim looked up at them, wondering if the ride back home would turn out to be as chilly as he was expecting it to.

He felt smoothness against his hand, and he gazed down at the tiny fingers that were touching it. When he set eyes on Bas again, he retrieted them.

"Sorry, you seemed distracted. I guess you want to go back home now, it's late" he said. "I'll let you to it, then".

"Oh, no. Not at all. I'm okay" Kim replied, sitting up straighter. "I don't have anything expecting me back home, I'm not in a rush".

Bas smiled, tiny and joyful, and Kim was reminded again why he had come here to talk to him in the first place. When he looked closely, Bas could be mistaken by an angel, with his white-blonde hair and his black eyes shining. Kimmon noticed that his top lip had a prominent creak in the middle, and when he smiled, it stood out even more. Pure, that was as close as a word could come to describe what he was seeing.
