Veronica's POV

My phone kept blowing up with texts from my adoptive parents. I just blocked them. The boys and I went out for breakfast this morning. It was fun until bitchy popular kids came over. They started horribly flirting with the boys. I left and walked back to their house. When I got there Jonah texted me.

Hoenah 🔥: Where are you?

Me: At your house.

Hoenah 🔥: ok. We'll be there in 5.

Me: Ok.

I sat down on the couch and put on TV. I got a call from Loralei. "hey." I said. "Hey Ronnie. Your adoptive parents just came to my house." She said. "FUCK!!!" I yelled just as the boys walked in. they all gave a questioning stares so I just waved my hand at them telling them to shoo. "They're going to kill me when they find me." I said and sighed. I never mentioned it but I have panic attacks frequently. I could feel one coming one. I hung up and started to take long deep breaths. A couple minutes later I opened my eyes and saw all the boys looking at me. I drug Jonah into my room/ the guest room. "My adoptive parents just went to my best friend's house looking for me. If they find me I'm dead." I explained. He got up and left.

Jonah's POV

After Veronica explained what happened I called my mom. "Mom?" I asked. "Yes Jonah?" "I was wondering if you could somehow adopt Veronica and bring her back into the family." I said. "Why" she asked. "well she's being abused by her adoptive parents so she's been staying with me and the boys." I responded. "I'll try Jonah." "Ok thanks mom love you." "love you too." She said and I hung up. I ran back to the guest room and explained everything to Veronica. She was so happy.

Veronica's POV

Jonah told me he just called his mom to see if she can adopt me. I am so happy. I might finally be able to get away from my adoptive parents. Me and Jonah went into the living room with the others. They were watching SpongeBob. Me and Jonah broke down laughing. Over the past couple days, I have become closer with all of them except for Daniel. I pretty sure Daniel hates me but I'm ok with it. It's nothing new he's hated me since 5th grade. We ordered postmates and to Zach's demand got Chipotle.
