The boys and I left the restaurant and headed home. When we pulled into the driveway I got a call from Veronica. I told the boys that I would be right in and answered the call. "Hey Veronica why are you calling me right now?" I asked not trying to sound rude. "M-my father t-tried to hit me and I don't know what to do." She said clearly crying. "Come to my house you can stay here for the night. It's random address." I said. It was the least I could do. "T-thanks." She said and hung up. I went inside to change into something more comfortable. I heard a knock at the door then Daniel say, "Why are you here?" he said it rudely though. "j-j-Jonah" I heard as I ran downstairs. I pushed Daniel out of the way and pulled Veronica into a hug. I led her to the couch and said, "Now start at the beginning." As she explained each part I felt myself becoming more and more angry. By the end of it the boys were holding me down so I wouldn't do anything. I looked over to her and saw her crying. I pushed the boys off of me and hugged her tightly. I told Zach to go to her house and grab all her belongings. He got up and left with Jack at his side to drive him. Corbyn wasn't home because he left to go somewhere. I put Veronica in the extra room and got her comfortable. "Jonah?" I heard her say barely audible. "yeah?" "Can you stay with me?" she asked timidly. "Yeah I can." I said. Next thing I knew she was asleep. I didn't want to leave her so I fell asleep on the floor. I woke up a couple minutes later to crying. I sat up and looked at veronica to see her crying. I got in the bed and hugged her trying to calm her down. Once she finally did I got up and went downstairs. I saw Jack and Zach standing with Veronica's stuff. I told them to bring it to the guest room. I looked around and didn't see Daniel anywhere. Corbyn came home and I explained everything to him. I asked if he saw Daniel but he didn't. I wonder where he went. When Zach and Jack came back we decided to have a 24-hour challenge in our house. It doesn't matter because tomorrow is Saturday. We got blankets, pillows, and couch cushions to try and make a fort. Once we finished it looked like this:

It took about an hour to make. By this time Veronica woke up and joined us. Daniel still wasn't back yet. I'm pretty sure he hates veronica and if he does I'll knock him from the top of the social ladder down to the bottom.
