After Detective Inspector Time had gone to see Annabelle, he had a long meeting with Lord Oberon.
"I understand, that you are a friend of Annabelle's, and that it must be painful to look at her while she is in...the state which she is in." said Lord Oberon.
"Indeed it is..." replied Time.
"However I was wondering do you have any information, other than the fact that the servant boy named Horatio fell into the coma at the same time she did?"
"No, I am afraid not. One of the servants actually found them there unconscious on the floor." answered Lord Oberon.
'At least Annabelle wasn't dead' thought Time. 'That would be absolutely awful...even more awful then the state she is in now.'
"So there was nothing really about the scene—" began Time.
"Time, please stop asking questions about this like it is homicide. It was an accident, not a murder!!" said Lord Oberon.
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean it that way." replied Time.
"It's alright..." sighed Lord Oberon.
'I am sure it couldn't possibly have been a accident, because Annabelle is stronger than that.' Time thought.
He felt like shouting this out loud, but thankfully controlled himself. Instead he said, "I heard that a duke and a lady are staying in your castle, is there a reason for that?"
"They are close friends of mine, from different kingdoms...you see. They came because of what happened, to Annabelle." answered Lord Oberon, he shot time a look that meant "stop acting like this is a homicide."
"Interesting..." said Time.
"...Time!!!" he heard a voice say.
He turned around to see Marigold staring at him.
"Father." she said. "I was trying to talk to you."
"Oh sorry, what were you saying again?" he asked.
He wish he hadn't started thinking about the conversation had had with Lord Oberon. which did not end well. the Lord was rather depressed and didn't answer his questions about what had happened to Annabelle.
"Well...we know that the all the people who were murdered had some type of residue on them. However we don't know what it is...but I believe they must be all connected in a way, some how."
Time nodded. He and Marigold had talked about connections between these victims many times, this was hardly new information.
"But if they are connected...what then? Why is the killer only killing one one ruler from each kingdom and not both?" asked Time, adding on to what Marigold had said. The conversation was starting to seem a little pointless at the moment, considering they had no new information.
"I don't know." Marigold said. "But they must be connected in some way, otherwise why would they have that residue on them?"
Time sighed, and stared out the window. That question had been nagging him for a long time. Sure, he wasn't the only detective investigating the case, yet he felt stumped. Why would they only kill one member of each royal family? They didn't appear to want the crown of the king or queen, whom they had killed. It didn't really make any sense to him, nor did it make sense to the other detectives from the other kingdoms.
"I don't know Marigold..." he sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"Annabelle! Annabelle!" he heard a voice echo in his head, and there was the beautiful redheaded princess. She walked over to him, "Horatio..." he heard her say.
