Vonivera sat reading a book in Annabelle's room. She was thinking rather hard about everything that happened. She didn't believe it was suicide, because she had spent a few days talking with the Lady. Though they were small conversions, she did not think the Lady was the type to do that sort of thing. If Annabelle were still awake, she would probably be saying the same thing. Vonivera looked around the room. She also thought deeply about what had happened to Annabelle, and she did not think it was an accident. She hoped she could find a way to prove it.

Knock knock knock

"Who is it? Tell me your name, age and rank...I do not want to let a murderer into this roo—" she began. She had been planning ways to make sure no murderer even thought about killing her, or Annabelle.

"It's me!" she heard the voice say.

"Who is me?" she asked. She rather wished she had a sword with her, so she could show any trespassers who walked into the room, that she was not a person you would want to make angry...Unfortunately, women weren't suppose to handle weapons.

"It's me, Horatio!" she heard a voice answer. It certainly sounded like Horatio, but she was not going to let the speaker in before she made sure it was Horatio and not someone pretending to be him.

"Please tell me your role in the castle, and who your—" she began.

"I'm a servant, and please let me in! The cook will get upset at me, if I don't deliver this now!" The voice that sounded like Horatio answered.

"Alright, fine. You may come in, but I will have to check you for weapons." said Vonivera, half-flying, half-walking over to do the door. She opened it, there in fact was Horatio.

"Why did you lock the door?" he asked.

"Well..." said Vonivera. "The guards are rather late, and they were supposed to guard the room, I do wonder what is going on. What I was trying to say, is that I had to guard the door...since I think." she said, and then leaned in and whispered into Horatio's ear "that It was murder."

Horatio nodded and whispered back to her, "I do, too."

"Anyway..." said Horatio. "I do need to deliver this wet cloth to you."

He then walked over to the bed and before he could even set the wet cloth on Annabelle's forehead, Vonivera leaped in the way and took the cloth from Horatio's hands.

"Vonivera!" he said,

"Sorry..." she said. "I just have to make sure there are no poisons in it such as Mercury or—"

Horatio sighed, "Fine, if you must."

Vonivera smelled the cloth and it had no obvious scent. That was good, however there are poisons that are odorless.

"Vonivera, if you want to know..." said Horatio. "I was the one who prepared the cloth, so I don't think you need to worry about it being poisoned..."

"Well...alright." sighed Vonivera. "I was just double checking. You can never trust anyone nowadays."

She put the cloth on Annabelle's forehead.

"Indeed you can't," said Horatio, staring off into the distance. There was a long silence... "Am I the only one who thinks there is something odd going on?" he asked.

"No..." said Vonivera. "You are not..."

"Anyway, I must be going, since I have to get back to work." he said, and walked out the door.

Vonivera stood there, standing still for a little bit, staring off into the distance. There was definitely something odd going on.

Horatio walked back to the kitchen, where he would probably get yelled at by the cook for taking a longer time, than he should have, to deliver a wet cloth. The cook would probably be dramatic about it. As he was walking, Horatio could not help having the feeling that someone was watching him. He turned around, but no one was there.

"It's nothing." he said to himself, and kept on walking...

Finally he made it to the kitchen. He was ready for the cook to yell at him when he opened the door, but instead there stood a girl with golden hair and green eyes.

"Horatio!" she said. "You're awake! Thank goodness."

Before Horatio could even ask who she was, she brought him into a tight hug.
