I always thought Poetry to be simple
Being taught that dr. Seuss phrases and short lines was all you needed
I was never taught emotion
I'm a girl why do I need more emotion Rhymes some flowing verses was all that I need
I was never taught that poetry with emotion could bring tears and break Hearts
I was never taught how not to lose my emotions in my poetry so my poetry turn to please and cries for help for savior
they become dark and twisted so I can pretend to be happy
so when I turn the Poetry for help ended up drowning
getting it out with no one to see it was twice as bad as just keeping it in
so now when I write i share afraid of the pain that comes when I don't
Yet of what people say and afraid to let people in
