Chapter 9

Coraline POV
"Coraline please, I love you!" Wybie pleaded.
I couldn't stand this, I can't and I won't! I ran away to the old well. I cried and cried for hours until I heard a voice... "Coraline what's the matter?" Angela asks while walking up to me.
"Leave me alone you devil!" I yell.
"Oh but I'm here to help you dear..." Angela says stroking my hair...
"Don't touch my hair! Haven't you ruined my life enough!?!" I yell back holding back tears.
"Please Coraline, I'll die without you..." Angela says in a familiar voice.
"Without me..." I say. All of the sudden I remember, the door, the beldam, that moment when I closed the door for the last time. The beldam yelled "I'LL DIE WITHOUT YOU!!"
"You're not Angela!" I yell alerted.
"Correction dear, Angela never existed...." the beldam/Angela said. I watched in horror as Angela/Beldam grew inches taller and Angela's face was replaced with the Beldam's. The once blue eyes are now black buttons.
I run as fast as I can, to the Pink Palace.
"WYBIE!!" I yell locking the door.
"Coraline I'm so sorry that I did that. I truly love you and I can't imagine a world without you.." Wybie says holding me close to his chest.
"Wybie, I love you too... About Angela she is the Beldam..." I say.
"Beldam Angela..." Wybie says nervously.
"Yes I saw her transform into the Beldam.." I continued.
"Did Angela ever exist??" Wybie said frightened.
"Nope..." I answered.
"I HAVE BEEN DATING A MONSTER ALL THESE YEARS!?!!?!?" Wybie yells frightened.
"Yes but don't faint! She's coming back! She's coming over here!" I warn Wybie.
"I swear that if she puts just one finger on you I will kill her!" Wybie says confidently.
We hear bangs on the door...
"You don't think that a locked door can keep me away, do you Coraline?? I'll find you one way or the other..." The beldam says cackling.
