Chapter 20

Coraline went to the park.
Of course Wybie was late..
He always was late to.. Everything, class, hangouts, rehearsals and probably dates. But what would Coraline know, she'd have to ask Angela about that.
Well she wouldn't, because Angela is.. Angela and it was pretty clear that Angela did not like Coraline, at all.
Pretty uncomfortable..
Coraline sighed and closed her eyes as she breathed softly and slowly, as a way to relax as she felt the autumn breeze blow against her cheeks. (I don't think I mentioned the season before? So.. Let's say its autumn?)
Wybie saw Coraline sitting on the grass, he smirked and snuck up behind her.
From behind, he hugged her and Coraline's eyes widened as she quickly turned around.
Her cheeks became red, "Wybie!" She said in an embarrassed tone.
"Yes Jonesy?" Wybie said in an innocent tone.
"You have a girlfriend for crying out loud!" Coraline said as she, against her wishes, pulled away from the hug.
"Had." Wybie corrected her, Coraline gave him a confused look.
"What do you mean.."
Wybie smiled sheepishly, "well... She broke up with me.. High school relationships don't last forever Jonesy.." He said as Coraline smiled slightly.
"This shouldn't feel sudden or rushed... We've known each other for years.. Though we started off on a rough track.. We became friends, but that isn't enough for me.." He took a deep breathe and made eye contact with her, "Coraline Jones, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?" Those five words could've given her a heart attack.
"Wybie! I mean.. I love you okay! I was being sarcastic fine?" She said in a hurry, struggling to find the right words but kept on getting lost in Wybie's loving stare.
Just say yes! Coraline thought, "Sarcastic about the text!" She added so she wouldn't mislead him.
"It's just that.. You just broke up.. Wouldn't it seem like you're moving on too fast?" Coraline said as she could already imagine the hate they would get at school.
Wybie still smiled, "I don't care about what they think.. I care about what you think.. You said you love me and I love you. I love you." Wybie said as he kissed her on the lips, softly as Coraline kissed him back.
All their worries vanished, it was them against the world from that day on.
Coraline and Wybie, they had their arguements but no matter what, they found a way to surpass them.

In an orchid or cherry blossom trees, there was a woman, the Beldam.. Not the twisted evil side.. But the lady behind the monster, who was enslaved to a life as a monstrosity towards others.
The wind blew on her, her brown hair flowed in the air.
She wasn't very tall but around the average height of a woman.
She had fair skin, light tan, and a small button nose.
Hazel eyes that glowed in the light.
She inhaled and exhaled, finally at peace. She opened her eyes and smiled. The petals from the trees flew through the air.
She closed her eyes again and slowly disappeared..
Leaving with the petals, she became one with them.
Her time was finally done.
Thanks to Coraline..
She had conquered the evil and now could have eternal rest.

Coraline sat on a swing outside the garden of the Pink Palace. When she saw cherry blossom petals?
But how? Coraline questioned as the petals circled her when she stood up. Crazily enough, Coraline could've sworn she heard singing.. Beautiful singing from a woman. But she couldn't see anyone there..
"Thank you Coraline.." She heard the voice say and and before she could answer, the petals had gone.
