Chapter 11- Hospital Scare

Nash's P.O.V

"Where's Katie?" I wondered. She was supposed to be here 10 minutes ago, it's about a 2 minute ride.

"I don't know. I'll see" Hayes said getting up and opening the door.

"KATIE!" Hayes screamed and ran outside.

Hayes was outside, next to Katie. She was on the ground, collapsed. Something happened but I can't tell what it was. But her leg, was broken. Definitely. It was all swollen and bruised. It was gross.

I saw Brent run outside.

"What the hell happe- KATIE OH MY GOSH IS SHE ALRIGHT" he said leaning down next to her.

"Call 911" Hayes told me. I grabbed my phone and rang the ambulance. I gave them the address and they said they would be there soon.

"She's still unconscious" Brent said worriedly. We heard the sirens. Some people came and took Katie into the ambulance. I nudged Brent forward.

"Go with her" I whispered as they asked who wanted to go.

Brent's P.O.V

I hated seeing her like this. I hate seeing anything happening to her, or anyone hurting her. If I didn't say for her to come over, and I went home, this wouldn't of happened.

I was interrupted by Nash nudging me forward.

"Go with her" he whispered. I stumbled forward and jumped into the back of the van. It drove off, leaving my friends standing there. I looked over at Katie. She was slowly starting to gain consciousness.

"B-Brent?" She whispered.

"I-it's ok babe. You'll be alright" I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Where am I going?" She asked looking around. I guess she realised she was in an ambulance.

"Well, something happened, you were supposed to meet me at Nash's. After about 10 minutes, Hayes went outside and found you. Lying there. So Nash called 911 and here you are"

"My leg hurts" she winced.

"Well, by looking at it. I can tell. It's definitely broken. Will you tell me what happened later?"

"Sure" she nodded, slowly closing her eyes.

*at the hospital*

Katie was taken for some X-Ray's, to see what's broken.

*40 minutes later*

Yup. Her leg was broken. She had it put into a neon yellow cast. Nothing else was really serious, she had a few scrapes and bruises, but nothing life-threatening. She had to stay in the hospital for a few days, to make sure nothing happens to her. She was asleep at the moment, I felt like sleeping too. But I want to be awake when she is. She honestly looked so peaceful sleeping. I felt so worried about her. I mean, she's perfectly fine, she's just got a broke leg. It just worried me about how it broke. I got up and gave her a soft kiss on her lips. I need her to tell me what happened. Her eyes fluttered open.

Katie's P.O.V

I woke up, I didn't want to open my eyes though. I was about to open them, but so felt a soft pair of lips against mine. I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting to the light. I looked down to see a bright yellow cast on my leg. Great. That's going to be annoying the frick outta me for the next couple months.

"Hey sleeping beauty" I looked over to see Brent. Those were probably his lips. He looked so tired.

"Brent, have you stayed awake this whole time?" I looked up at the clock. It was 2am. I was walking to Hayes' at around 5pm. Woah.

"Brent, get some sleep" I just patting a space next to me.

He laughed and lay next to me.

"You said you would tell me what happened when you were coming over?"

She took a deep breath. "I was walking along the path. I could see Hayes' house. I was almost there when, some car swerved from the road and ran into me. I saw it coming, it was too fast for me to move. I was on the ground and I saw the car driving away, I didn't get to see who it was though" she said looking at me.

Wow. It was quite a lot. "So you're alright?" I asked concerned

"Yeah. I suppose. When can I go home?" She calls me home hers. Well, it is. Hopefully for awhile now.

"Um. A few days. I'll stay everyday" I smiled at her.

"You don't have to."

"I want to. For you" she blushed.

"You're so sweet"

"Why of course" I said flipping my long, imaginary hair. She laughed softly.

"Nice way of waking me up. Always wake me up like that" she said winking.

Wait. Did she just? Nah. Wow. I'm friend-zoned so hard.

Katie's P.O.V

I winked at him. He just sat there thinking after that. Man, I must be in the friend-zone if we doesn't even notice when I flirt with him. Guys are so clueless sometimes.

*2 days later*

They were letting me out of hospital a day early. Thankfully. It gets annoying watching the white walls all day. But at least I spent them both with Brent. We skipped school this week. But we are going back next week. Ugh. School isn't too bad, don't get me wrong, but teachers just piss me off, and all hose slutty girls and stuck-up guys. It just annoys me.

*back home*

"KATIE!" Hayes, Nash, Ash, Livy and Cam screamed running towards me.

"Be careful around the broken!" I shouted, but still hugging everyone. That was hard with crutches.

"You guys know I love you guys, and missed you all, but I'm tired, I have hardly slept for the past few days"

They all mumbled yeahs and turn on the T.V and sat on the couch. Livy cuddles into the side of Hayes. They are so cute together to be honest. Ash's head was on Nash's lap and he was playing with her hair. Cam just sat their hugging his knees, staring at the T.V. He seriously needs a girlfriend.

I walked up the stairs. That was harder than it looked. I stumbled and almost face-planted but I felt firm hands wrap around my waist.

"Caught you again" Brent laughed.

"You save me all the time, don't ya Brent?" I laughed.

"Dats me! I'm tired too. I haven't slept either."

We walked up the stairs, Brent catching me every time I fall. (Which was basically every step).

I flopped down on my bed, carefully lifting my leg up. This is going to be so annoying. Brent took of his shirt and lay down next to me. I cuddled into his chest, and I breathed in his scent. That sounds weird. Oh well. I was so tired, I just closed my eyes and fell asleep. I could tell Brent was too because of the soft snores that were escaping his mouth. He is just amazing.
