Katie's P.O.V
I woke up suddenly. No explanation. I felt a surge of energy and I couldn't fall back asleep. Great. I rolled over and looked at the time. 3:19am. Ugh. I decided I would go on a run because, why not?
I got changed into my nike crop top, and sports shorts. I put my hair in a high ponytail, then braided it. I grabbed my phone, plugged in my headphones and tip-toed down the stairs. I opened the door, stepped out, and shut it as quietly as I could. It was a beautiful morning. I sighed. And started doing the usual loop. I was listening to Shawn's new song 'Show you' when I felt a bit faint. I stopped for a second to catch my breath. I got a sudden pounding headache. I turned to see I was back at my house. Ironic, isn't it.
I stumbled up the stairs and walked in. I decided I needed some painkillers. But before I could do anything, everything went black and I thumped to the ground.
Brent's P.O.V
I woke up and heard a thump. I hope no ones broken in. I got up and shivered. I only had my sweatpants on but I didn't care. I ran down the stairs to see the most horrifying sight. My girlfriend was blacked out on the ground. I screamed and ran to sit next to her.
"Katie, Katie. C'mon babe, wake up" I set her head on my lap and shook her slightly.
"What the hell Brent- KAE!" Lexi screamed and yelled for my parents.
"What do you guys wa-" my mom stopped mid-sentence before grabbing her phone and ringing someone, I'm guessing the ambulance.
This has happened a few times, but she's usually woken up straight after. But it's almost been 10 minutes and she hasn't.
"They're on their way" my mom said.
10 minutes later Kae still wasn't awake, the paramedics came and I went in the back of the vehicle, along with her mom.
"C'mon bub. Wake up. You're making me worried"
"Give her time, honey" Monica rubbed my shoulder.
"Will we make it to school on time?"
"You're not going to school" she shook her head.
"Okay. Should you ring the school?" I asked.
"Yes. I'll ring once we reach the hospital" she said just as we reached a stop.
They took her out on the stretcher, and into a spare room. She hasn't woken up. She's really scaring me...
Katie's P.O.V
I woke up. It seemed like ages since I was last awake. I heard everyone speaking around me.
"She can't go. I love her too much" I heard Brent's voice.
"She won't be going anywhere" that was my mom.
"I'll be back soon, I'll ring your school" I heard the door open, then shut.
"C'mon baby. Wake up" Brent kissed my lips softly. That was my que.
I opened my eyes slowly and coughed.
"You're awake!" Brent said enthusiastically.
"What happened?" I wasn't fully aware of what actually happened.
"Well I heard a thump, went downstairs, and saw you on the ground. And may I ask, why are you in your running clothes, with 'Buckwild' blasting through your headphones?" I gave him an 'are you dumb' look.
"I woke up is morning, with a rush of energy. I couldn't fall back asleep so I got into my running clothes, turned on my music, and went for a run. I started getting a migraine, and walked inside. I went to get some aspirin, but I blacked out. That's the last I remembered"
