First Feeding

After the talk with Cameron's pack, we all went back to our rooms. After discussing the room situation I found out, boys on level 7, Adam on level twelve, and I offered Serena the extra room in my suite. I helped Serena with her bags, using my speed as an advantage.

Every now and then I would catch her trying to teach herself. I smiled internally remembering when I was still a child always trying to grow out my wings and fangs, run with the others, feed on the deer in the woods. How foolish i actually was teaching myself.

I began my usual routine of the night, just playing on my phone and such, day dreaming of what might happen in the future. My thougthts kept leading back to the boy that seemed to keep bringing a smile to my face.

His cute little face, his brown eyes, how kind and funny he was. My thoughts quickly dropped when I heard noises from Serena's room. I had almost completely forgot she was in the opposite room.

I knocked lighlty and said, "Hey, you alright in there?"

The door swung open and I? was met face to face with Serena. I took a second to look at her. Her normal brown eyes had changed to a bright green, almost the color of grass. Her hair was lighter and her facial features enhanced. She genuinly just looked as if she had gotten an amazing make over. No blemishes, great skin tone, teeth whitened, perk of being a vampire.

"I cant sleep," she says quickly.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you needed to go through changes. Anything else you feel?" I asked.

"Im really hungry, my sences feel alot stronger, and im honestly really really hungry still" she explains.

"And only one things really gonna help with that," I say more to myself trying to think of a solution.

"What is it?" she urged me to continue.

"Blood. Gosh you act like you've never seen a vampire movie." I joke.

"So how do we get it?"

"We fly to the nearest cemetary. I would usually just get you maybe a deer, but that wont help for your first feeding"

"Fly?"

"Yes, now follow me," I grabed my phone and pull it off the charger, and placed a room key in my back pocket.

I began to walk down the hall, stopping and looking back at Serena. She took a good three minutes to finally join me as I walked down the narow hallway. I didnt nottice Serena wasnt next to me until I was a good distance away. I looked back to find her pressed up against a wall covering her mouth with her hands. I rushed to her sides and squatted down next to her.

"Hey what's wrong? C'mon you gotta tell me to help." I begged.

She uncovered her hands to reveal her teeth, she pointed to her extended fangs. I looked around trying to figure out what was causing her outburst. My eyes landed on a girl about seven waiting by the elevators. I pushed Serena back down as she struggled after the girl.

"Serena, listen to me okay? Your not using your brain, just your instincs. She's a little girl, by code we cant hurt humans. You'll be killed." I tried to calm her down.

She nodded putting her head back against the wall, exhaling a breath she hadn't noticed she was holding. I pulled back a little bit trying not to hurt her with all the weight. She opened her mouth and sighed loudy, and I looked up. Her fangs had retained and were now replaced by the normal shape of her regular teeth.

"Okay?" I asked. I looked back to where the little girl was to see she was now gone.

"Im okay. Im feeling different, but in a good way," she smiled.We hopped off the floor and made our way to the stair enterance.
