Haileys POV
Today is the day I try out for cheer I'm really nervous but I think I can do it. I mean what's the worst that can happen the popular girls are on the team too I doubt it. As I'm entering the gym just my luck I see the three of them sitting at the judges table. I just ignore it and do what I'm supposed to. After tryouts are over I go to class because it takes up my whole lunch time. We should hear the results from tryouts within the next 2 hours. As I'm going to my last class I hear Loren on the announcer saying the names of people who made the team.
"First we have Hailey Orona, next is Devyn Kohl, Kassie Torres, and Danielle Cohn welcome to the team ladies first practice is next Wednesday after school. Have a good day Silver springs high school. Go lions!" She says getting off the speaker. I begin thinking to myself wow I can't believe she put me on the team. I open my phone to see pictures of me and Carlos all over Instagram people saying things like "is she trying to be the next Loren Gray" "why is she talking to Lorens boyfriend" "I think this is that new girl she's really cute I think she should be the next big popular girl at this school" "she should take Lorens place" and all Kinds of other stuff. I start walking around the school to go find Chris and as I'm walking in the hallway I see so many people turn and look at me waving and smiling. Maybe I am going to be the next Loren.
"So Hailey are you having fun trying to take my place I seen all the posts and comments about you being the next me and taking my place well good luck it's not happening" she said giving me a mean look and walking away.
"Oh hey uh Hailey right" I turn to see that hot guy from my Psychology class.
"Yeah and you're Alex" I said giggling.
"Yeah" he laughs. "So I was just coming over here to see if you maybe wanted to hang out sometime you know maybe like outside of school?" He asks. "yes I would love that" I said. "Great here's my number text me when you're not busy and I'll pick you up." He said putting his arms out for a hug. I hug him and nod.
