Part 14

Alex's POV
I haven't seen Hailey this happy in a long time. I can't help but feel like she's doing it to make me jealous... Again. Im not going to worry about it to much we have a game today and I don't want to be distracted by it.

Middle of the game
---
I look over and I see Hailey and Brandon walking across the bleachers she stops when she sees me. I stop also but then I hear the whistle and start playing again. I can't help thinking about her the whole game. When I look over at where she was sitting I don't see her or Brandon anywhere. After the game I see her crying I go up to her and ask her what was wrong.

"Hey are you okay I seen you sitting here crying I just wanted to make sure you were okay." I said.

"Yes Alex i'm fine but I just want to be alone can you please go away. I'm not in the mood to talk right now." she said not looking at me for a single second. I know she isn't okay. Something happened during the game but she doesn't want to tell me what it was. 

"Okay well if you want to talk just let me know we may not have left off on speaking terms but i'm still here for you" I said.

"Why are you pretending to care about me or how i'm doing?" she asked.

"Hailey i'm not pretending I love you and you know that I will always love you but you're always finding ways to push me away or doing things behind my back with my friends. Hailey you slept with my best friend not only 1 or 2 times but 3 and you're worried about me not caring about you if anything that should really prove that I care about you after you slept with my best friend 3 times" I said shaking my head and walking out of the school.

Later that day - Hailey's POV-

I can't stop thinking about what happened at the school after the game. Alex is right I keep pushing him away just because i'm unsure of my own feelings but how do I tell him that i'm pregnant with his best friends baby. 

"Carlos look we really need to talk." I said walking into his house.

"Yes we do look I think it would be best if we both just-"

"Carlos i'm pregnant with your baby and I was scared to tell you but it's true and i'm in a very abusive relationship with Brandon and i'm scared I don't know what to do. If I break up with him i'm scared he will abuse me even more than he already does and if I tell him he will hurt me and the baby." I said bursting into tears.

"Oh my gosh Hailey I don't even know what to say who all knows about the baby?" He asks

"No one I wanted to come tell you first because it's your baby" I said.  He pulls me closer to his chest. 

"But Carlos what I came here to say was really that I think we should stop this friendship because you're with Destiny now and I want to be with Alex. I was sure who I wanted to be with at first but now I know it's Alex it always has been Alex." I said
