Alex's POV

I'm in the shower when I hear someone knocking on the door.

"Open up it's the police" i laugh and yell i'm coming thinking it's one of the guys. But to my surprise when I open the door it really is the police.

"Alex Guzman" he asks

"Yes um what's going on is everything okay" I ask.

"We need to take you in for questioning about the murder of Brandon Westernberg I hear you 2 had a little feud going on is that correct?" he asks.

'Yes but this is ridiculous I didn't kill Brandon I didn't even know he was dead. When did this happen?" I asked. Even though me and Brandon never really got along since the whole abusive relationship thing I never even thought for a second about killing him. I mean of course I wanted to beat him up but kill him never.

At the police station

C-COP A-ALEX

C - How long have you known Brandon and were you guys friends ?

A - I've known him since 4th grade we went to school together we we're friends since 6th grade

C - Then how did you not know about his death he has been dead for 3 days.

A - We weren't really on speaking terms

C - Why is that

A - Well a couple of months ago my girlfriend well ex girlfriend was dating Brandon and I was pretty upset about it because we we're on the football team together and we were best friends since middle school. Then at our end of the year game I found out he had been abusing her and forcing her to have sex with him 

C - And with all that going on you've never though about killing him at all correct?

A - correct, i'm the one who brought Hailey to the police and got him arrested but never thought of killing him

C - Where were you on the night of December 14th around 9 pm?

A - I was out with my friends at a party trying to clear my head of a bunch of stuff that has been going on.

C - Do you have anyone who can prove you were there 

A - yes everyone at the party

C - okay i'm going to need names and phone numbers also do you know anyone who would do something like this? And No friends because they could cover up for you. He passes me a notepad and a pen. I write down 15 people that were at the party.

A - no idea he got along with everyone although there is one person who he didn't really get along to good with. I'll also write their name and phone number down. I'm not saying it was this person but it's a possibility

C - okay you can go just don't leave the city in case we need to get in contact with you.

A - okay thank you sir 

Back home

"Hey Carlos we need to talk asap it's about Brandon" I said leaving him a voicemail for the 10th time. Finally I get a phone call but it's not Carlos it's Chris.

A-Hey bro whats up?

C-I just got back from the police station have you hear about what happened? he asked 

A-Yeah I just got back too like 2 hours ago how did they find him?

C-My sister went over there to break up with him but as soon as she got there she seen him laying on the couch in a puddle of blood and he had a knife in his chest.

A-Oh my god who could have done this.

C-I have no idea but Carlos is calling he just got back from the police station i'll call you back

They hang up and Alex decides to call Hailey to make sure shes doing alright.

H-Hey Alex 

A-Hey I just wanted to make sure you were okay you know, after what happened with Brandon.

H-Yeah i'm fine thank you I'm just happy I don't have to worry about me or my baby's safety. Turns out i'm having a girl. I'm just waiting for the other test results to come back telling me who the father is.

A- Okay well thats good look i wanted to see if me-

H- oh my god sorry to cut you off but its the doctor i'll give you a call back.

She hangs up quick. I'm not ready to be a dad but if this baby is mine i'm willing to be there every step of the way.
