What to expect when life gives you the unexpected.

My sister and jobs.

  I have been in New York for already about 2 weeks. I been sending resumes every where for a job. I can't just eat my parents food and live there for free it wouldn't be fair to them. I sent my resumes for jobs that I can learn from because I want to have my own business one day or law firm. 

   So far I haven't heard from them and my life was utterly miserable. The wedding is in like 2 weeks and I still haven't backed out of it even though it is definitely going to kill me. 

   Missy and Brandon are actually coming to the house today to go over wedding stuff and they haven't seen me since I left for college so it will be the first time they see me in 8 years. I have changed a lot from my awkward teenage years. My boobs and butt definitely got bigger, and my waist is much smaller than my box shape adolescent body I use to have. My hair is longer and my face is more thin because in college I would work out a lot to get through my stress or to just stay up to finish a paper. So they are going to see a much different person.

  The reason have never saw them is because they never cared to visit. My mom and dad have. I even been to their house but Missy never shows up to any holiday dinners or any gathering. So this whole thing is going to be weird she probably still thinks I am the slow bloomer girl like everyone else thought in my school. 

  I go downstairs after getting dressed for the day. I was wearing new clothes I bought since I had zero because of the stupid fire. I was wearing a dark blue skater skirt with a bright yellow shirt and white stilettos.

  "Hey mom." I say entering the massive kitchen. My mom loved cooking so of course my dad bought a house with a huge kitchen for her. 

" Hey honey. So um... how you feeling about them coming over?"

"I don't really know mom. I don't even know how I should. Should I feel happy sad or angry?" I say burying my face in my hands.

" I'm sorry dear. Just keep a smile and try to feel happy for her. Maybe she actually does love him, and they will live happily. You will meet someone Liz who will take your breath away don't just limit yourself to Brandon." 

" Mom but I loved him. I planned my whole life with him in my head. Now I am blank. How do you know I will find someone else and why do I have to? Why can't Missy find someone else."

"Because Liz he chose her not you. They are already engaged. Sorry to say honey but anything you have ever thought was going to be with him is over," she says looking me in the eyes. I just burst out crying.

" I know mom I know. It's just so hard. Just imagine if  the guy you loved tells you he would wait for you, but in the end you were the only one who waited. I never kissed a guy, I never had sex, never had a relationship, I never had anything because I was thinking he would actually wait for me like he said he would. Now I feel stupid because I knew there had to be a reason he stopped contacting me a couple months ago. I just feel so damn stupid!" My mom comes over to hug me.  I hug her back taking all the comfort I can get. 

 " You will be aright Lizzy ok. You will find somone better than Brandon one day." she says winking at me.

"How do you know it will happen?" I say with my lip quivering.

" A mother intuition I guess." She laugh. I roll my eyes and thank her.  My mom can give out some of the best advice or some of the worst, but I still love her. 

 I ate delicious pancakes and bacon that my mom made for me and soon retired to my room to see if any of the companies would have a interview with me. when I open up my lap top I see that all the companies except 1 agreed to interview me. I looked to see what company hadn't sent me anything, and it was the one company I was really hoping would hire me. "L Corp" the most successful Law firm in America. It's name use to be different but after undergoing new ownership the name and stats of the company changed. Stat went over the roof. I wanted to work there so bad. Maybe they never got my first resume.  So of course I sent another because I came this far and I am not going to back out now.
