"Did you just speak?" I ask, I think I'm going crazy,
"Yes, your highness." She replies, Yep, I am going crazy.
"Your highness? What are you saying? How are you saying that?" I ask,
"My dear Alice, we've been waiting for a very long while for you to come of age."
"To come of age? What is this? The dark age?"
"No Alice, time is frozen here, yet it never really existed at all."
"Okay, can you tell me why I'm here then?" I ask,
"You're here to save us of course, from the King and Queen of Hearts." She says in a quiet voice.
"How am I supposed to save you?"
"You are of royal blood, my dear Alice, you will take down the Queen and her King and sit in the throne that is rightfully yours."
"How do you prepose I do that?"
"By any means possible, my dearest. She knows you're here, you must find your own way to the castle, once you are there you will save us. Be wary Alice, Wonderland is a dangerous place." And with that she walks off into the darkness leaving me alone in this new place.
"Hello, is anyone there?" I ask, no one replies. I sigh and start to walk, maybe this is a dream, if it is a dream, it can go how ever I want it to, right? I continue walking in the darkness. Light, I need light. As if they heard my silent wishes, a few mushrooms to my right start to glow, then in front of me to my left, and all the way as far as I can see. I knew it was a dream, this just proves it. I walk down the path now illuminated by the dull glow of small mushrooms. As I walk past them they stop shining, slowly going dark and leaving the path behind me pitch black.
I continue to walk silently until I reach a split in the path, many signs are scattered across the corner, reading things like; 'this way', 'wrong way', 'tea party' and 'do you play croquet?'
I stare down both paths to see which way might be a better choice. I walk down the road that has the signs, 'tea party' and 'this way' pointing in that direction. In the distance I see a small white gate, behind it, it is as bright as day and voices can be heard, I decide this was the right decision, for now anyway.

Falling Down The Rabbit Hole
Teen FictionFor Alice, falling down the rabbit hole leads to a lot more falling even though she was already on the ground. This story has been in my works for over two years, so I figured I'd post it, because why not?
